3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
The color is caramel and licorice, like deep ruby. Head is thin. Mulling spices and bubblegum/candy in the aroma. Shortly bitter taste balances the sweeter aroma. Finishes clean, lighter bodied.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours dark brown. Nose is spics , cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, basically the whole sprice cabinet, also pine. Taste starts with a caramel malt, pine, then hits you with a ton of spices on the back end. Maybe a touch of bitterness from some orange peel. Pretty light body. Ok, I can't drink much of this though. Too much spice.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at the local brewpub. Pours a very dark reddish hue with minimal head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of the classic xmas staples such as cinnamon, ginger, cloves, figs, allspice. Upon the first sip you are slammed with a perfect mix of the aformentioned flavors and a nice hoppy undertone. A fantastic christmas beer.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a dark amber with a thin, light tan head. Spicy nose. Cinnamon, light clove, and all spice. Medium to full body with some stinging sensation in the surface of the tongue and roof of the mouth. Too much clove in the very spicy flavor. It’s like drinking potpourri.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the Perimeter Taco Mac (War Eagle!!). Pours a bubbly and relatively clear brown with a small, tan head. The aroma is immediately gin (this is a first, but that was the impression I got! Spruce and juniper, with some booze. It actually kinda works with the Christmas theme.) There are some notes of nutmeg (eggnog, perhaps?), caramel, and black bread. Sweet flavor, with some intense spiciness. Medium to heavy body, with a lot of savory spiciness. This is an incredibly unique beer, although it takes some time to get used to.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured brown, nice off white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of dark fruit and spices combined with some malt notes. Taste, spices are in my opinion a bit too strong and while they are well balanced with malts they kind of overpower the beer. Overall not bad, one of the best Christmas beers out there.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells like Christmas. Tastes like Christmas. 2Xmas indeed! The spice mix is almost overwhelming but very well balanced with the bitter/sweet notes.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours medium brown with red highlights and a fine-grained, thin, off-white head. Nose is clove, cinnamon, and cardamom, especially the last; smells like Scandinavian pastry. Sweet and malty on the tongue, again with the cardamom at the forefront; bitter roast and clove/cinnamon acridity closes in after, cutting the rich sweetness nicely. Finish is dry and smoky, still with the spices predominant. It’s not something I’d drink a lot of, but it’s a really, really nice variant on the usual holiday brew.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours brown with a off whit head. Taste cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. I thought this was good. I could drink this again.
