3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 11, 2014 Deep clear reddish brown with a cream colored head. Aroma of pumpkin pie, clove, fig, berries, and pine. Taste is well spiced, malty and slightly sweet, just barely boozy, and a little bitter. Medium-full bodied. Very well done; lots of spice/holiday flavors without overdoing it or lacking the necessary backbone.

Pours a copper color with light khaki head (1 finger). Nice aromas of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), fig, malt. Nice balanced flavors - spices, fig, malt, and a touch of alcohol. Very nice for the season.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Lots of spice in the nose with heavy notes of clove. I haven’t had a lot of glogg, which is usually served warm, so I don’t have an expert opinion on how close this brew is to glogg. However, knowing how well Southern Tier nails their beers and how unique this brew is, I’m fairly certain it’s a close match. Really tasty once it warms.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - Pours a clear, deep copper/red with a quickly dissipating head. Aromas of ginger, Cinnamon, and clove, a cross between pumpkin pie and typical winter spices. The aromas carry through in the taste with a malt backbone and some tart notes. A lot going on, nicely balanced and interesting. Good winter brew.

Clear red brown pour with a beige head that fades down to a ring. Strong spice aroma. Lots of ginger, nutmeg and orange peel with some nutty toasty malts. Taste follows but has a slight medicinal character. Full body.
