3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rcvd in trade.
The appearance has a red/amber colored body with a thin white foamy head that must die within thirty seconds
The smell has strong nutmeg and cinnamon with some added other "Christmas spices."
The taste well, its actually slightly spicy through the nutmeg and cinnamon with a dry spicy aftertaste and finish.
The palate has a light to medium sort of body with a decent bitter harshness trying to pound the tongue but ends up settling into the carbonation which comes across slightly smooth.
Overall, I say this is a pretty good "Christmas" ale that I would have again.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Dmac. Pours out an attractive ruby red color with a small white head and a solid amount of carbonation. Aroma is of sweet cherries, fig, spice, nutmeg and a slight warming alcohol note. Taste is solid, very similar to the aroma, sweet cherries, fig, nutmeg, spices, light alcohol, some sweet notes in there as well.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Craftsman, pours a clear reddish amber with no head, a lot of spices on the nose with some sweetness of the malt, flavor has a lot of spice on the front end, too much for my liking, tastes like liquid popori, ugh.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle shared at Exira Beer Summit 2012. Pours a deep brown color with white head. Spiced, malty, cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg aromas and flavors. Very spiced flavors, maybe overly spiced. Probably wouldn’t want to drink a full beer of this.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Mahogany-cherry amber colored pour with a quick lasting off-white fizzy head. The spices in the aroma include a big dose of ginger and nutmeg, clove and allspice. Light hop note. Medium body. The booze tends to kick in more in the taste than on the nose along with the ginger and peppery spices. The finish lingers and ends dry.
