12oz bottle from Crossroads Spirits. Pours a clear dark amber color with a finger of frothy khaki colored head. Aroma of oranges, toasted malts, tons of spice (mainly cinnamon), and mild sweet caramel. Taste of overpowering cinnamon and other spices, caramel malt, orange peel, and light citrus. I know the spice is the main focus of this beer, but its too much for my liking.

ROGUE (2099) - Newark, Delaware, USA - DEC 27, 2012
12oz bottle. Pours a deep ruby reddish brown color with a one finger cream head. Heavy scents of spices, malted barley, dried fruit, and booze. Taste is heavy on the spices with cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. A very malty backbone with some hop bitterness too. Very boozy finish and aftertaste. The body was light and creamy with mild carbonation and a slick finish.

I love holiday beers, and this offering from Southern Tier is right on point! The 2XMas pours a dark ruby red color with a decent-sized beige head. The head leaves some nice lacing around the glass. The nose is full of spices, including cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, allspice and a hint of ginger. The flavors represent most of the same qualities, with a delicious blend of spices and just enough malt and hops to balance everything out. This is a very delicious holiday-style beer. Very enjoyable!

On tap half pint at Gilly's Craft Beer & Wine in Rockville, MD. Clear walnut brown with small khaki head and excellent lacing. Aroma of cinnamon, cherries, raisins, nutmeg, allspice, toffee, caramel and brown sugar. Taste of toffee, caramel, spices, brown sugar and floral hops. Medium/full body and medium carbonation. A classic Christmas spiced beer. Not overdone. Good balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a dark nutty brown color with minimal head. Nose is somewhat fruity with nutty and caramel flavors. Palate is a little stingy with some medium mouthfeel. Flavors of sweet sticky caramel, spicy Xmas notes like ginger? Cherries? Nutmeg? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
