12oz bottle - pours amber with quickly diminishing tan head. Nose is nutmeg. Flavor adds caramel, spices, and a general potpourris. Medium body. Mildly sweet. Festive but I wouldn’t drink two.

December 6, 2012 bottle from coffee grounds. Clear copper pour with little bit of head that faded quickly. Aroma was spicy, malty, grainy and some alcohol. Taste was a disappointment, grainy, some cinnamon and nutmeg, but kind of a weird spicy bitter and dry alcohol finish. I love christmas and all, but would be okay not seeing this under the tree on the big day.

12oz bottle from Crossroads Spirits. Pours a clear dark amber color with a finger of frothy khaki colored head. Aroma of oranges, toasted malts, tons of spice (mainly cinnamon), and mild sweet caramel. Taste of overpowering cinnamon and other spices, caramel malt, orange peel, and light citrus. I know the spice is the main focus of this beer, but its too much for my liking.

Very spicy aroma, anise, cinnamon. Darn good at first but becomes a bit harder to drink further down the glass. A more subtle approach would have, benefited it.

Bottle shared at Exira Beer Summit 2012. Pours a deep brown color with white head. Spiced, malty, cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg aromas and flavors. Very spiced flavors, maybe overly spiced. Probably wouldn’t want to drink a full beer of this.

Aroma of pine forest, color is ruby with thin beige head. Somewhat soapy taste, piney notes, but above not readily apparent. Interesting take on a holiday beer.

MadRobin (1690) - Silver Spring, USA - NOV 28, 2012
On tap half pint at Gilly's Craft Beer & Wine in Rockville, MD. Clear walnut brown with small khaki head and excellent lacing. Aroma of cinnamon, cherries, raisins, nutmeg, allspice, toffee, caramel and brown sugar. Taste of toffee, caramel, spices, brown sugar and floral hops. Medium/full body and medium carbonation. A classic Christmas spiced beer. Not overdone. Good balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
