3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit III. Thanks Jetson! Pours a clear dark orange appearance with a foamy, brown head. Very spicy, nutmeg, light cinnamon, orange citrusy, clove aroma. Chewy toasty malty, toffee, sprucey, nutmeg, herbal, minty flavor. Super spicy. Kind of an interesting beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
355mL thanks to BlackIPA! Thanks dude. Pours clear, deeper mahogany red, no sediment. Thick, powerful yellow foam. Good retention. Webby to soapy lacing. Nose is heavy fall and Christmas spice. Moves to more lemon, black tea, tea leaves. Pine forest, christmas scented home. Taste is thicker, as expected with ST, a lot of pie crust, cinnamon, nutmeg, no sticky sweetness surprisingly. Pretty decent stuff. One of the more drinkable ST beers in a style I would have never guessed. Palate is a bit black tea, some tree bark, camphor. My rating: 3.5 Fiance rating: 3.8

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Brick Store. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of cinnamon, nutmeg and other spice with a hint of backing sweet grains. Flavor starts with the spices listed above and a growing note of earthy deep from the grain.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Strong spice aroma up front. I wish there was a bit more hearty malt to balance it out, it’s pretty much all spice here. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and etc. Bitter taste, with a strong spice bite. Some honey, orange peel. Dark, clear red color, minimal khaki head. Only a couple loose dots of lace. Dry texture, medium body, lighter carbonation. It does get better as it sits and warms though

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear copper tinged brown amber with a thin beige head. Smells like warm cookies, spices and warm figs, toasty malt. Medium bodied, quite spicy. A touch of caramel, malt, toast, more spices. A bit of fig and plum, bitter spices and malt. Spices were great on the nose but come out a bit heavy handed in terms of flavor. It’s no pumpkin but it’s decent enough I guess.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours a great deep ruby shade with 1-finger khaki head. Nose is heavy spice, hops. Tastes rich, very smooth, with a big spicy semi-sweetness, hops, malt, and well hidden alcohol that makes this one a great holiday Winter Warmer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2015-08-04. Hazy dark amber brown body, nice tan head fades. 3+ Aroma has a good amount of spice character, nutmeg, all spice and more I can’t pick out. 7++ Flavour is similar spice character, moderately bitter throughout, pleasant sweet malty core. 7+ Smooth medium bodied palate, moderate carbonation. This is basically Anchor’s Christmas beer with a bigger malt core, and it works better because of it. Spice character is still overly strong for my taste but I think that was the idea. Pretty nice, but better suited to Christmas than the much delayed summer consumption I am giving it. Bottle from Ye Olde Spirit Shop, MD.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the brewery. Pours a deep amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma has a ton of winter spices- juniper, nutmeg, allspice- tons of spice on top of caramel malts, toast, and nuts. Flavor is the same. Some faint berry notes, too. Medium-bodied, with a spicy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. I liked the spice but understand that others may not. Maybe it was also enhanced by drinking it fresh, in the winter, and at the source. Good beer.
