3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours deep, clear mahogany into a Sam glass. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet cinnamon and nutmeg aromas. Medium bodied with sweet dark caramel and nutmeg upfront turning to cinnamon toast in the lasting warming finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear dark woodsy amber. Nose is robustly spiceful with some coriander, cinnamon, chai, tea, lemon zest, and curry powder. Weird intrinsic aroma. The taste is warm and spicy with big earthy malt undertones, built upon by chai spice and something like nutmeg and cinnamon, rustic caramel, and ginger. All over the place.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bad label, standard longneck. Clear, ruddy, tea-colored beer; not much head. Spicy, malty aroma. Overly spiced when cold - a bit ham-handed on the nutmeg perhaps - so let this one warm up. Woody-sweet malts, dry caramel. Spice and alcohol burn at the end of a medium heavy body. Faint chocolate notes towards the end, implied vanilla. Not bad, if you’re around a bonfire. ABC, Betton.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells pretty decent. A big improvement from the Great Lakes Christmas I had earlier. Aromas of ginger and lots of clove. Pours red clear with a little lacing. Palate is watery but spices are well integrated. Taste isnt overly sweet. Works well. On tap at Blue Monk.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The aroma is very spicy and fruity with all the smells of the season. There is also caramel and pine hops. The appearance is amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall a great example of the Christmas/winter/holiday style but a bit to astringent for me.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Not a fan of spiced holiday beers. Sweet alarming aroma. Orangish. Starts off better thn expected than it morphs into a volatile warm throat sensation. On finish it settles down a tad. Little co2 and somewhat mouth coating. Did not appreciate the high alky content.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle from a 6pack from Spirits Crossroads. Poured a good looking reddish/amber with an average faomy light beige head. Aroma has that "holiday" nose, notes of spices, chocolate, toast, orange peel, cardamom. Rather full bodied with stronger carbonation that is almost stingy. Flavor is similar to the aroma with a chocolate malt backbone, pronounced spices and a touch of range peel. Solid beer but I think this would be better classified as a "spice, herb, vegetable" beer.
