12oz bottle. Unfiltered glowing ruby red body. Thin beige head. Very forward with the spicing, has a nice fruitcake thing going on, cinnamon in the aftertaste. Smooth and clean on the palate, this is a pretty nice Winter Warmer. Gloggy I suppose. Easy drinking for the ABV. Pretty good.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Oak Tree, 11/28/12

Aroma: The nose is mostly winter spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc), with some malty and fruity notes
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear dark reddish color with minimal head and absolutely no lace
Flavor: Tastes a lot like the nose, with a strong spice component, is lightly sweet and lightly bitter
Palate: The body is medium-plus, with an average-to-lively carbonation, and a dry, spicy finish
Overall Impression: I found this one to be a solid, spice forward, offering. It wasn’t an absolute favorite of mine, but it had some nice components. From a categorization standpoint, I personally would probably call it a Spice/Herb/Veggie, but I guess you can’t go wrong sticking something in the catch-all American Strong category.

Bottle from Beer and Wine. Dark amber body with faint tan head. Nose is sweet, spicy, peppery. Taste is alcy, malts, caramel, spices. Quite refresing and clean texture. Peppery and cookies in the finish. Enjoyable.

Nice brown coloured body with a ruby glow and a thin, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of nice spice, banana bread, allspice, canella and a ton of nutmeg. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong spice flavour with allspice, cloves, cinnamon, ginger root and a hint of cardamom with some roasted malt, a bit of yeast and a definite alcohol bite on the finish. Aftertaste shows a nice spicey complexity, but the alcohol and bitterness interrupt with the warmth a bit too much and the spices overpowering. Overall, a nice beer, but not executed flawlessly - so this one should be sampled if found easily, but passed up if there are other options close by. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 12-December-2012 for US$1.59 sampled at home in Upstate New York on 26-December-2012.

Bottle. Nose has spice and some sweet cherry wine, heaviest spicing from the nutmeg, some all-spice perhaps?. Pours deep blood red with a scant light brown head. Dry and lightly scratchy, dark earthy notes under very mild cherry/clove with a flight of dominant spice on top. Not getting any orange peel or ginger like others below. Medium-fullish body, warms slowly, alcohol well-integrated. Could have fooled me and called it a pumpkin beer.

12 oz bottle from a 6pack from Spirits Crossroads. Poured a good looking reddish/amber with an average faomy light beige head. Aroma has that "holiday" nose, notes of spices, chocolate, toast, orange peel, cardamom. Rather full bodied with stronger carbonation that is almost stingy. Flavor is similar to the aroma with a chocolate malt backbone, pronounced spices and a touch of range peel. Solid beer but I think this would be better classified as a "spice, herb, vegetable" beer.

Pours deep, clear mahogany into a Sam glass. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet cinnamon and nutmeg aromas. Medium bodied with sweet dark caramel and nutmeg upfront turning to cinnamon toast in the lasting warming finish.

Draft pour into a pint glass. Pours a clear amber color with a beige head of foam. Good retention and lacing. The aroma is slice and astringent bitterness. Taste is more of that. Bitter finish with medium body and medium carbonation. I just dont really care for the style, I suppose.

Some bodega: pours mahogany with white head. Aroma is gingerbread, spice, more spice, and malts. Taste is much the same. Pretty intense on the spice aspect of it. Medium to full bodied. Alcohol well covered. Not bad but not something I ever crave.

Not a fan of spiced holiday beers. Sweet alarming aroma. Orangish. Starts off better thn expected than it morphs into a volatile warm throat sensation. On finish it settles down a tad. Little co2 and somewhat mouth coating. Did not appreciate the high alky content.
