Christmas spices waif from the glass. The pour is clear ruby red like a Christmas ball. The flavor has a nice warmth for Christmas eve. Perfect for Santa would be a pint and some hot wings, that is what I will tell my kids anyway.

12oz bottle from ABC on Apalachee. Brown pour, off-white head. Aroma is cinnamon spices, dark fruit. Tastes are strong spices - cardamom, clove, cinnamon. Also caramel and dark bread. I would have thought that the strong spices would have put me off, but I like this in comparison to other xmas brews. It’s not too sweet.

Bottle. Pours dark copper with a thin tan head. Aroma of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and winter spices. Flavor was toasted malts, cinnamon, caramel, nutmeg, a touch of orange and xmas spices with a slightly bitter finish.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/31/2012. Pours lightly hazy ruby red color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big raisin, fig, orange peel, caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, clove, nutmeg, floral, brown bread, and herbal earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of malt, fruit, and spice notes; with good strength. Taste of raisin, fig, orange peel, caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, clove, nutmeg, light anise, floral, brown bread, and herbal earthiness. Lingering notes of dark fruit, orange peel, brown sugar, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, light anise, floral, brown bread, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity of malt, fruit, and spice flavors; with a great sweetness/spice balance; and zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a creamy, slick, and slightly syrupy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice spiced Christmas ale! Great balance and complexity of malt, fruit, and spice flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Damico (2579) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2012
Pours dark amber mostly clear with a beige head. The aroma is strong, sweet, and brings plenty of Christmas spices so pleasant in the nose with notes of cinnamon, almost apples as well. The flavor brings sweet clovey Christmas flavored malts, which would mean the spices of the season for anyone who wants to criticize my descriptions for lack of something better to do. The flavor ends a bit bitter but smooth overall.

Copper colored pour glows a bit in the sunlight carrying a tiny bubbled off white head with great lacing. The aroma is a bit if a hot mess but not in a bad way. Cardamom and orange zest dominate then some other spices maybe clove and nutmeg. Slightly reminiscent of a mulled cider. Flavor is a bit sweet some dark fruits and all the spices. Full well coated palate. Overall only OK and I might have been happier withba smaller glass as it gets a but cloying.

On tap at MacGregor’s. Pours a deep red with a very small off-white head. Very warm, inviting aroma of spice, ginger, fruit, and some Pumking. It definitely smells like the holidays One of those beers I find myself continuing to smell. Taste is sweet and full of spice. The finish is not surprisingly spice. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation. Very nice holiday beer.

Bottle thanks to Dmac. Pours out an attractive ruby red color with a small white head and a solid amount of carbonation. Aroma is of sweet cherries, fig, spice, nutmeg and a slight warming alcohol note. Taste is solid, very similar to the aroma, sweet cherries, fig, nutmeg, spices, light alcohol, some sweet notes in there as well.
