3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Stumbled upon this today in the supermarket and made an impulse purchase. Good buy. Heavy spiciness in the nose, along with cherries and cola. Nice dark appearance with tan head. Rather clear. Palate has some oak along with the cola fruit and spice. Nice, this plus the cold weather has me ready for the holidays.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Poured from bottle into shaker glass. Deep clear red copper with a small head that faded to a thin layer of bubbles. Quite a bit of lacing. Aroma is malt, roasty, clove, cinnamon, orange. All those same flavors when tasted. Medium body, somewhat creamy texture, even if a bit thin and watery. Plenty of carbonation. Lingering spicy bitter finish.
To date probably the best Christmas/Winter ale I’ve had! I expected lots of spice/flavor and this definitely delivered.

Ambrée/rouge. Nez: épice. Cannelle. Fruité. Raisin sec. Muscade. Gingembre. Sent plus la bière à la citrouille que la Noël. Gâteau au fruit confit. Bouche: caramel. Gâteau. Canne de Noël. Anis. Muscade. Fine amertume. Intéressant.

On tap at 3R6P. Holiday spice aroma, with coriander, allspice, and nutmeg. Light hop component, medium sweet. Deep dark copper amber clear with thin creamy lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. A little warming. Starts moderately sweet with lots of holiday spice flavor, sweet nutty finish. Medium bitterness in the after with lingering spices.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma Is plum, raisin, allspice, coriander, clove. Very festive. Clear brown color with a touch of red. Ashy taste, bitter orange. Good beer, though the aroma sets your expectations high and the flavor disappoints.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This was a very good holiday beer. Spicy warm sour notes quickly followed by notes reminding me of woody pine and berry. This beer finishes very clean.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle from Crossroads Spirits. Pours a clear dark amber color with a finger of frothy khaki colored head. Aroma of oranges, toasted malts, tons of spice (mainly cinnamon), and mild sweet caramel. Taste of overpowering cinnamon and other spices, caramel malt, orange peel, and light citrus. I know the spice is the main focus of this beer, but its too much for my liking.

3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle poured into tulip glass. Amazing spice aroma from the beginning. Truly a holiday feel from this festive ale. Auburn or mahogany color. Taste is actually more bitter than anticipated. Falls in line with a lot of the Southern Tier hop-centric collection. Slightly off in the aftertaste but impressed by the aroma. Not quite twice the Christmas...maybe 1.25 times?

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A very daring winter warmer pushing some non traditional beer spices way to the forefront. Allspice and cloves are driving here with the cloves leading. Some cinnamon, and scads of ginger are in there too, all backed by a malty American strong ale. Will all of this spicy goodness, I still find myself wanting to taste more beer. Definitely interesting, but the novelty wears off fast. Tough to drink on its own, pair this up with a spice cake or gingerbread.
