Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Slightly cloudy straw colored brew with virtually no head. A little wheat and maybe yeast in the aroma. Taste is sour grain at the start and little grass in the finish. Watery palate. Bland and weak with little character, but inoffensive.

Pours a straw color with minimal white head. Grainy aroma. Mildly bitter and sweet. Not one of my favorites.

Poured a light clear yellow with little head or aroma; Not much wheat character for me and even seemed a little thin.

Southern Tier makes some of the best everyday beer out there. This is smooth and easy to drink, but with just a little more qualtiy and flavor than you get from the major brewers. 422 is one of my go-to beers for BBQs, tailgates, or a hot summer day.

Bottle pours gold with an eggshell head. Aroma shows notes of grainy wheat banana bread, light citrus, and dusty yeast. Flavor shows the same with additional subtle notes of vanilla, spices (clove, maybe coriander), as well as honey. Overall body is light to moderate, and finishes with light bitterness.

Bottle from Liz. Pours hazy orange tinged gold with very little head. Aroma is mostly bready with a little fruit and yeast. Med body. Flavor is bready with some light citrus and a little yeast/spice. It’s got body but the flavors are pretty light. Finishes bready with a little citrus. It’s a nice beer, but relatively bland.

Tap at Oblivion. Nose is light citrus and some sweet malt. Light fruit in the nose as well. Pour is light yellow with not much head. Taste is similar with a bit of grain, some citrus, and a semi-sweet malt tone that makes this one very refreshing and drinkable. Not a bad brew.

Average appearance. Yellow and mostly clear, not a whole lot of head, a bit of lace. Definitely bready and yeasty. A little floral. A little grainy. Smell is overall light but somewhat sweet and pleasant. Taste is sweet, grainy, yeasty, a touch fruity. Body is quite light, easy to drink, and a touch slick with residual sweetness. It’s a tasty wheat, not outstanding or one of ST’s best mind you, but quite drinkable.

Bottled. Poured fairly clear, bright golden with a looser-bubbled white head that settled fairly quickly. The aroma picked up sweeter lemon meat, vanilla, and light cloves.. soft, sweet, and well-balanced. The flavor found pale malts and lightly tangy wheat, with cloves and light orange zest around.. finished with quite a few residual sugars and tart wheat. Light-bodied and sweet as mentioned on the palate.. decent feel and flow.. very drinkable.
