This beer smells like weed. Tastes like a pale lager with wheat characteristics.

Wheat and sweet malt on the nose with a light hoppy backing. Not the over the top kick in the pants I brace myself for before trying a new Southern Tier offering. Decent sessioner.

Pours yellow and very clear for a wheat beer, small head which fades quickly, wheat spicyness dominates with minimal yeast flavor, well balanced but nothing special.

bottle. Pours a light, slightly hazy straw yellow, small thin white head that clears quickly, leaving a thin layer that sticks around for a while. Muted aromas of fresh cut grass and some wheat bread. Mild on the flavor as well- starts with a light bite of spicy bitterness accentuated by some brisk carbonation. Light grainy wheat flavors sit behind the bitterness. Very light and mild, in keeping with the low abv. Clearly intended as a summer session brew, which it accomplishes well. Palate is on the brisk side from the carbonation, finish is clean. Nothing incredible, but certainly accomplishes the summer session beer aim very well.

I poured a 12 oz bottle of this strange little beer into an English pint. It smelled of earth and grass, and flavors followed suit, with a decent-sized note of green banana and a whiff of butterscotch added to the mixture. The hops were present in the finish as well as the aroma, although they were never assertive or bold. Overall, this beer is light in body, alcohol, and flavor, but is well balanced. It is what it is: a good example of a meh style. Iíd drink another, but Iíd feel somewhat sheepish about it.

Orange hue slim head faint wheat aroma. Very light fruity wheat. Not extremely sweet like most. Iíd call it a wheat lite.

bottle aroma, some hops, light grassy wheat maltness color, amber straw hue, bubbly head taste, smooth mellow composite of hops and wheat malt, nice balance, light on the palate overall, good summer beer

Bottle. Pours pale light gold with a small ring of soapy lace. Aromas of wheat twang, floral/light citrus hops, and a bit of cat piss. Flavor is light and this is super drinkable. Light earthy hops, wheat, and flowers make up the flavor. A strange mix of flavors and aromas here, but the drinkability is insane. Ehhh decent but nothing to write home about....

A good beer with no head. And a straightforward hoppy taste. Golden with only limited wheat visual identity

Hooray for Earth Day! Southern Tier aims to appreciate our planet with the joy of their Pale Wheat Ale. When drinking this I imagine lying on a grass field soaking in the sun. In reality Iím sitting in my bedroom on a cold winter night. The beer pours an absolutely bright golden color, shimmering clear through the glass. It looks almost like champagne as bubbles rapidly rise to the top of a small white head. The smell is faintly grassy with some orange/tangerine aromas and a bit of sourness. Taste also has a grassy flavor consisting of some lemony fruit and a touch of hay. The finish is earthy with light hop base. Iíd ask for more hop presence to kick up the palate a notch, for itís a bit too light leaving much to be desired. Given the right setting and outdoor temperature Iím sure this beer can do wonders, but for right now Iím just slightly buzzed and ready for bed.
