3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
5 oz pour at 5-17 brewery public day. Poured a red/orange. Aroma was some citrus, toffee, hint of bourbon, caramel, and wood. Taste was sweet, but overall good. I got mainly the caramel and oak in it with citrus following in the background. Overall solid. Wouldn’t drink it daily, but it would be a nice treat here and there.

Bomber from Proof. Amber pour with a sturdy thin off-white. Aroma is pleasant sweet caramel, toffee, booze brown sugar. Tastes are bready, barley, sweet - but not overly. Good balance. Tasty sipper.

Pours a nice maghonany red with a nose of vanilla. Hints of cherry, bourbon and candy sugar mingle for a complex taste that lingers on palate. Taste changes as it warms. A great Barleywine!!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Incredibilmente gustosa.

Pours a murky, drab dark amber with a quickly attenuating, one-finger light tan head. Pungent sweet caramel and toffee nose. Moderately thick, mildly coating mouthfeel. Milk chocolate at the beginning, then toffee, and then some faint fruit.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep reddish color, almost maroon, like a Bordeaux wine. Small and shortlasting head, leaving no lace. Aromas to caramel, cafe-au-lait, butter, some toffeish hints. Very malty, anyway. The mouthfeel is toffee, butter, caramel, biscuit, with a very hidden balance to orange peel. The texture is nor oily nor creamy, but both of them (velvety?), low carbonated, medium bodied, long development, balanced finish. Somewhat complex, the overall is extremely elegant, delicate and perfectly structured. An extraordinary barley wine.

7/10/2010. From bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of dark roasted malt, dried fruit, spices, toffee. Malt, caramel, fruit and spice flavors that are in balance. The finish have some sweetness to it. Very nice.
