COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“a stout of great contention” We are not the harbingers of truth as some may suggest but it may indeed be argued that our brewing philosophy is tantamount to a dessert with a bellicose past. How, you may ask, would a brewery determine a likeness to hard-coated custard? Our response is simple; it’s all in the power of history, and of course, the extra finesse needed to top off a contentious treat with definition.

By comprehending the labyrinthine movement of time, one would not think it strange to trace the errant path of an ordinary object such as a cream dessert only to discover that it has been the cause of cultural disputes since the middle ages. The British founders of burnt cream and from Spain, crema catalana, both stand by their creative originality and we respect that, but it was the French Crème Brûlée, amid the strife of contention, that survived to represent our deliciously creamy brew. 9.6% abv • 25º plato • 195º L • 22 oz / 1/6 keg 2-row pale malt / dark caramel malt / vanilla bean / lactose sugar / kettle hops: columbus / aroma hops: horizon

This beer was great and everyone I was with loved it. It has a fantastic desert flavor to it and it’s balanced extremely well. The only downside was that this beer reminded me of an ill-inducing, overly-sweet, coffee like drink I had while working in the hospital a while back. It’s me not them.

This beer is made to be sipped and not drank. If you do that it is incredible.

Sweet, sugar and vanilla on the nose. The taste, the same applies. Very sweet beer. Bitter? No, but the sweetness so out any bitterness total. Much and fills the mouth a weak moment. Good beer but too sweet. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Opaque, clear. Vanilla nose, a little coffee. Full body, moderate to intense flavor, silky texture, not much alcohol heat, long palate, flavorful finish. Bittersweet but not cloying, little acidity, good balanced. Pronounced vanilla and coffee flavor, Delicious milk stout dressed up as a stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma. Sweet vanilla, very warm. Appearance: thick looking, syrupy motor oil black with a small off white head. Taste: syrupy sweet. Ashy aftertaste. Vanilla and toasted malt are evident, but sweetness tastes artificial/added, unfortunately similar to the Choklat in that way. Thick feel. Not awful by a long strech, but very low on my list of stouts from quality sources.

From the bottle, pours black with a thick foamy white head. Pungent aroma of marshmallows, caramel, vanilla, general sweetness. Smooth and silky, tastes immediately of sweet creamy vanilla that quickly bitters to the strongest of coffee stouts, then mellows again and finishes with a flavor of vanilla and a light earthy bitterness. Very different, but very good. Probably only good for one per night.

By far my new favorite. Very smooth and rich. Wonderful nose. All around great flavor. A slight sweet but just right.

Pours black with little to no head. Smells like....creme brulee...taste is ok. Mouthfeel is velvety. Not bad.
