When empirical and creative impulses collide, the result is often timeless. The classic utility-art aesthetic of the coffee maker is an example of design and engineering working in concert. It is through similar cooperation that the simple bitter cocoa bean is transformed into a sweet treat. As scientists, our brewers utilize their materials to exacting standards. As artists, they couldn’t resist the temptation to combine the best flavors of two of our highly acclaimed Blackwater Series Imperial Stouts, Jahva and Choklat. Alone each is perfect, but together as Mokah, they are an inimitable expression of two of the world’s most sought after flavors. Enjoy Mokah stout with - or as - your favorite dessert! Cheers!

Chocolate, roasted malty aroma. Bitter aftertaste. Espresso sensibility. The booze is faint. Full bodied. Actually rather good, meant for Winter. Definitely for worshippers of dark chocolate.

Bomber from Roth’s. Black in color. Sweet nose of chocolate and vanilla. Almost a chocolate milk or cocoa aroma. Super rich chocolate up front with some really roasty sweet coffee. Very rich and decadent with a pretty good hop kick as well. A touch of alcohol. Huge beer with huge flavors. Very nice.

bottle at home thanks to bruce, cheers!
pours unctuous tan tinged black with rich earthy/ashy coffee and chocolate on nose. Quite roasty, ashy, dark cocoa, low vanilla, full bodied a touch undercarbonated. alcohol level makes this a bit tough going and acrid finish offputing. disappointng given calibre of brewery

Bottle. Thought I rated this a long time ago but I guess not. Big sugary aroma of chocolate syrup, coffee beans, light roast, almond milk, and some dark fruit. Tastes like a dessert beer. Like drinking ultra chocolaty milk with espresso poured in. Almond, vanilla, and a hint of cherry too. Medium to full body. This is delicious but I kinda wish I didn’t open this bottle alone.

This beer is extraordinary. Great flavor profile and mouth feel. Perfect compliment to a desert or just on its own after an excellent meal.

Had this from the bottle. Poured very dark. Smelled very strong of chocolate, very sweet, espresso. The taste was great, very milk chocolaty, mocha stands out very nicely, fruity, sweet, very smooth. Awesome stout.

Bomber. Black with a light brown head. Milk chocolate bordering on tootsie roll, light roasted coffee, dry roasted almond, light earthiness and malt powder. Dessert like sweetness with a light coffee bitterness. Body is heavier with a sticky feel. Beer version of tiramisu. Another excellent sweet imperial stout from Southern Tier.

Another great tasting brew. Aroma of dark bitter chocolate and French roast coffee. Not to harsh bitterness as it was balance out by some milk chocolate finish. More coffe that some of their others which was A+++.

Bomber. Clear dark reddish brown with a thick, tan head that lasts and laces. Aromas of big chocolate syrup, coffee, roasted malt, and some light dark fruit. Flavor is the same. Full bodied, creamy, syrupy and smooth. Lingering chocolate and coffee.

Pours opaque, near black, with small tan head. Great aroma of coffee, milk chocolate, vanilla. Palate is darker, bitter chocolate, espresso, burnt toast, black cherry, peppery spice. It’s harder than the nose, but manages to avoid the chalkiness that affects some coffee brews. Medium body, with the 10 percent ABV well controlled until a nice dab of heat on the finish. Nice accompaniment for dessert, or dessert itself.
