COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When empirical and creative impulses collide, the result is often timeless. The classic utility-art aesthetic of the coffee maker is an example of design and engineering working in concert. It is through similar cooperation that the simple bitter cocoa bean is transformed into a sweet treat. As scientists, our brewers utilize their materials to exacting standards. As artists, they couldn’t resist the temptation to combine the best flavors of two of our highly acclaimed Blackwater Series Imperial Stouts, Jahva and Choklat. Alone each is perfect, but together as Mokah, they are an inimitable expression of two of the world’s most sought after flavors. Enjoy Mokah stout with - or as - your favorite dessert! Cheers!

Black with a beige head. Aroma-chocolate, coffee. Taste- amazingly delicious. The roasty stout, chocolate and coffee flavors combine perfectly. Finishes full bodied, sweet and just fantastic.

Bottle. Full marks, great imperial stout. Aromas of milky chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, and rum. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and very long length. Palate is syrupy, and full bodied. Dark brown, with a consistent head.

Rated at Brew Bern 2012. This is perfection in a beer. The smell of it alone is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever had. The girlfriend nearly dumped me to marry this beer. The chocolate and coffee in this one was simple divine and was there in both aroma and taste.

American Double/Imperial Stout 11.2 % abv. Almost opaque black, Dark coffee color. Coffee nose, intense. Unctuous malty style, but not cloying due to roast bitterness. Bitterness is almost entirely of roast malt origin, despite IPA in name. Well balanced, good length, full body, silky texture, visible alcohol like Tia Maria liqueur, but not overpowering. Medium length, delicious aftertaste, more chocolate than coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Has to be in my top lists. Sweet but not sickening. Rich combo of chocolate and coffee but not the same old- same old.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a creamy tan head that left good lacing. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and had a hint of vanilla. Rich and smooth flavor of sweet dark chocolate, roasted coffee, espresso, caramel and a touch of vanilla with a medium plus body and had a nice warming finish. A world class dessert beer.

My favorite of the blackwater series from southern tier. Perfect balance between the java and chokolat, Just love it that whole is actually geater then the sum f its parts. If the chokolat is too sweet for you then the Mokah might be the balance you’re looking for.
