Bottle. Very nice pumpkin and spice aroma, absolutely delicious. Flavour mostly matches, fortunately - nice blend of stout and pumpkin pie. But not incredible. Preferred the He Said.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 7/13/2016. Pours nearly pitch black color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big pumpkin, pumpkin seed, gingerbread, nutmeg, brown sugar, cinnamon, toast, pie crust, caramel, cocoa, light coffee, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great complexity and balance of pumpkin, spice, dark/bready malt, and moderate roast presence; with great strength. Smells almost the same as pumking, but thatís not a bad thing. Taste of big pumpkin, pumpkin seed, cocoa, roasted malt, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, pie crust, toast, caramel, light coffee, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal spice and roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg, toast, caramel, gingerbread, pie crust, light coffee, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of pumpkin, spice, and dark/bready malt, and moderate roasted flavors; with a great roasted malt/bitterness and spiciness balance, and no cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitter/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with very smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with a small warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding pumpkin/spiced imperial stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of pumpkin, spice, and dark/bready malt, and moderate roasted flavors; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the big ABV. There isnít as much roasted malt character as would be expected for an imperial stout; but you still get a solid amount, with prominent classic pumking flavors. A highly enjoyable offering.

Pours a dark brown with a very thin off white ring. Nice malty aroma. Descent flavors of roasted malts and some chocolate. A little thin for an Imperial Stout but pretty enjoyable.

Pitch black pour. Not much head - light brown. Aroma of chocolate and wet malts. Flavor is smooth, some vegetable fiber - might be pumpkin. Some alcohol but not too much.

A pumpkin spiced imperial stout with enough strong, rich, bitter malt to stand up to the pumpkin spice. Iím not wild about pumpkin beer, but this one is better than most of them. Warlock pours black with a creamy head. The aroma is rich and bready, and does have the typical pumpkin/cinnamon/nutmeg qualities of a pumpkin ale. The flavor is like washing down a slice of pumpkin pie with a dark chocolate latte. The finish adds some vanilla and some nuttiness. I cannot deny that I liked this.

Pours dark brown almost black can still see through. Small head off than. The aroma is pumpkin spices, earthy, chocolate. The flavor is roasty chocolate pumpkin pie. Earthy at the end and suttle hops. Overall quite tasty its a flavor that last quite awhile alcohol hidden well. I would recommend and I.usally dont like any beer with pumpkin.

Dark brown pour with small beige head. Aroma of pumpkin, spices, coffee, chocolate, molasses and hops. Taste of chocolate, slight coffee, pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, roasted malts, molasses and hops. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, medium carbonation, nicely balanced. Great beer!

I was taken back at first. Expecting more of an IS than an IS and Pumpkin mixed together. 3rd and 4th draw and Iím settling in with it. A bit astringent from the spices but finishes nicely. Head dissipates quickly to a rim lace. Traditional IS blackness and mouthfeel. Again the spice trims the heft. Clove and nutmeg are the players here. Am I glad Iím having it, yes. Would I buy it again, no. Would I refuse it if offered, no.

650ml bottle. I have enjoy MANY of Southern Tierís brew in the past. I have disliked MANY spiced beers in the past, and so, I gave Southern Tier the benefit of the doubt. However, because of my indifference to almost all beers-spiced, this guy has been sitting in the cellar since Autumn of 2014. Pours a clear dark garnet colour with a thin tan head. On the nose, graham cracker, a strange off-putting smell of Corn Pops cereal, pumpkin pie filling, and a light cola-like smell. MUCH lighter in body than I was expecting, and medium sweet with ginger snap, a faint buttery note, light molasses, and dark coffee up front that leads into caramel, dark malts, a bready note, and some light bitterness in the finish. It reminds me an awful lot of Southern Tier Pumpking, which Iím just not a huge fan of. Every now and then Iíll stumble into a spiced beer I really enjoy, but this wasnít one of them. Itís palatable, but definitely not a return visit.

Very dark red with no head. Aroma of molasses, pumpkin, and pepper. Initial flavor is strange and hard to pin down; some pumpkin, phenols, cream, a little chocolate. Finish is spicy like Mexican hot chocolate. Heavy bodied.
