1.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma of pumpkin, allspice, some roast and a little cinnamon/sugar. I was really expecting a stronger aroma. Appearance is black with a dense off white head. Taste has tons of spice and some roasty hops. Not very complex flavor. No pumpkin whatsoever in the taste. Watery, tastes kind of like burnt, bland pumpkin pie or bad gas station coffee with flavored creamer in it. I donít understand the high rating - I found this hard to drink. Palate is terrible; I have never had a more watery palate on such a high ABV beer. I normally donít trash beers like this, but I have to do it this time. Complete waste of money. I think Iím done with Southern Tier. The only beer of theirs I have liked is Unearthly.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle... Poured jet black with a mild forming light beige head. Typical Pumking-eq spice on the nose. Tasted of the same pumpkin pie spice and sweetness as its sibling with an added roast and bitterness to it. I prefer Pumking though.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Blindfolded, I donít think I would notice a difference in aroma between this and Pumking. But the flavor and texture and definitely different. Itís heavier, dryer, and the finish is definitely more stout-like. But those delicious spices that make Pumking outstanding are still there and hold up. Thereís something almost pop-like to start. Overall, itís a tad more aggressive and the roasted malt certainly comes out.
If I had to choose between Warlock and Pumking for the rest of my life, Iíd go with Pumking. But this is a very tasty change of pace.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, brown, mostly/fully diminishing.
Body is dark brown to black.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (chocolate, roasted grain), with notes of cooked rice, nutmeg, twigs/branches, peanut butter.
Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Pretty unpleasant beer, to be perfectly blunt. Strong boiled rice aroma is weird, and the peanut butter makes it even weirder (both are uncanny and striking). Lotsa nutmeg as well, making for a really disjointed/cluttered nose...it just does not work together at all (would YOU want a plate of rice drenched in chocolate, nutmeg, and peanut butter?). In the mouth itís stupidly syrupy-sweet, and while the finish shows some assertive bitterness, itís sharp as if from spices rather than hops. A disturbing drain pour.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark brown cola appearance with tan head. Aroma naile the pumpking genre, with beautiful balance of earthy spices, and malty sweetness. Taste is the same, and rich, without becoming cloying. Spice and (mildly) piney hop bitterness kicks in to prevent that. I wish I had a Pumpking to side by side these. $7/22oz

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber rated two nights ago, drunk as a skunk. Pumpkin beer #4. Aroma is exactly like Pumking but more roasty. Pours black with a medium beige head with decent retention. Taste is like Pumking but more roasty. This is so delicious right now. Give me more.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle...very nice fresh (and real) pumpkin pie spices over a chocolate graham cracker body with some pumpkin as well. Not your every day beer, but lots of fun to drink when the weather turns dark and spooky...

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours deep dark brown, almost black with a creamy beige head. Aroma is pumpkin pie, roast, coffee and dark chocolate...delicious. Taste is mild bitters that quickly turned sweet. Full bodied, almost creamy with soft carbonation. Alcohol very well hidden. Overall this is a great pumpkin imperial stout.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a dark brown colour with a thick toffee head. Rich aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, roasted bready malts like graham cracker, and pumpkin. Flavor is full of the aforementioned spices that resemble licorice with a slightly burnt chocolate malt finish. Pumpkin is not as upfront as in its sibling, but still present.
