COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial stout brewed with pumpkins Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate on its own and also to counterpoint our Imperial Ale, Pumking. Make your own black magic by carefully pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet.

Dark and mysterious, the Blackwater Series is serious about high gravity. Reanimate your senses with Warlock’s huge roasted malt character, moderate carbonation and spicy pumpkin pie aroma.

Bomber. Pours transparent black with a slight desert tan head. Aroma is primarily of pie spices backed with a roasted quality. At first taste my palate is swept away by a large spice character followed closely by the taste of a slightly overdone pie crust. The roasted quality of the malt intertwines magnificently with the spices to form a unique flavor reminiscent of a fine pastry. The body is absolutely perfect. Pumpking is outdone by the complexity of Warlock. Have another? Its impossible to say no when I’m subdued by liquid black magic.

Aroma of pumpkin spices, flavor is really rough and smoky. Not an easy drinking beer, too many spices and not enough body to back it up.

Super dark color. Super sweet with cinnamon and pumpkin nose. Taste of sweet, sugar, caramel, pumpkin. Not a beer you’d drink all night but very good.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, cocoa, roasted pumpkin seeds and hint of coffee. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, cocoa and nutty finish, Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 22oz. A dark brown beer topped by a small, dark beige head. The aroma is quite chocolatey, with a spiced touch, some roasted malts and brown sugar, It’s full-bodied, soft and lightly warming on the palate, with a bit more carbonation than I’d prefer. The flavor has a touch of bread crust, not that wimpy American or Swedish bread, but a good, solid Norwegian or Danish one. Caramel, toffee, roasted malts, some vanilla and licoricie too. Hints of booze and a nice bitterness to deal with the sweetness there is. Lasting sweet finish with a fine hoppy bitterness, roasted malts, some vanilla and licorice, bread crust, caramel sauce and a faint burnt hint. After a rather boring start, especially in the aroma, it sure picks up after a few sips. Quite wonderful this one I think. 150620

Bottle from trade with gopherfan99 - many, many, many thanks for this gem, Steve! The beer has got a deep dark brown / black colour with a low, steady, smooth head and very smooth body. Aroma of strong alcohol, chocolate, cake and christmas. Taste of pumpkin cake, cake, cookier, cinnamon, intense barley, mild chocolate, brandy, milky coffee, light malt, woods and perfume. Christmas feeling. Very intense and very delicious. Loved it.

Man oh man this is all pumpkin. Aroma dominated by it, flavor influenced by it, along with malt and barley. Pretty interesting stuff. I enjoyed it.

I’m not a big fan of pumpkin, in beer or not. Spicy notes. Good stout backbone.

Part of their Blackwater Series. Pours a dark copper colour with light ruby highlights. The head is beige, fizzy with tiny bubbles, disappears quickly enough leaving not much lace. Big nutty nose from the pumpkin with spices, chocolate and vanilla. Kind of pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream on top. Quite beautiful. Nutty flavours as well with the roasted malts, hints of coffee, spices and I would say nut again. I must say, this is a wonderful brew. A wonderful dark brew with spices and pumpkin that I love. Love so much, I am real sad to not have bought more :(

Black with minimal head. Nose is pumpkin pie, spices. Taste is roast, a bit bitter, spices, pumpkin, almost licorice note at the end, finished bitter. Eh. Smells better than it tastes
