On draft at capones. Pours a deep coppery color with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of sweet warm bourbon vanilla and caramel toffee. Taste is much the same.

On tap at Capones, pours a cloudy light brown with small head, very good lacing. Aromas and taste of sweet vanilla cream, butter, bannana, cloves, candy sugar, caramel toffee, spice, nuts, dark cherry. Nice body, very warming. Excellent barley.

Draught at Capone’s: Aroma of Bourbon, malt, toffee, caramel, coconut, vanilla, slight alcohol, and just deliciousness. Poured orange/amber in color with a large, creamy, dense, tan head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Hazy. Sparkling. Flavor is heavily sweet and hot. Tastes malt, Bourbon, alcohol, vanilla, toffee, coconut, slight hops, and slight dark ripe fruit. Full body. Slick, oily, then dry texture. Soft carbonation. Medium sweet, lightly bitter, malt, Bourbon, vanilla, coconut, alcohol, finish is lightly dry. 14.5ABV% is present and hot.

Pours amber/ruby with a thin tan head. Aroma has vanilla, candied fruits (not sweet), caramel and bourbon. Flavor has similar notes...a bit of fig...slightly boozy. Mouthfeel is full and silky with a very warming bourbony/fruity finish.

On tap at Capone’s. Murky and muddy amber with an off white head. Wood, bourbon, caramel, and some nuts. Tastes of bourbon, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, wood, and some dark fruits. Medium alcohol burn in the finish.

A light brown barley wine with a thin off white head. In aroma, a sweet vinous caramel with light vanilla, ample, not bad. In mouth, a sweet maple with vanilla pods, oily mouthfeel, nice and smooth. On tap at TAP NY, April 28, 2012.

Pouring at TAPNY. Pours a hazed amber brow with a thin white head. Sweet bourbon on the nose, malt and oak. Sweet and malty, big bourbon. Warm and boozy. Lots of booze, long warmth and bourbon.
