Hazy straw-light orange body with strong carbonation, medium, dense off-white head. Soapy aroma with big clove, banana, grassy hops, and a touch of oak (but subtle). Dry oak in the body quickly gives way to a grassy body with wet hay, clover honey, and clove notes, finishing dry. The oak tastes stale and underutilized. Only one sip gave me a hint of cherry; otherwise, I would not have guessed any fruit was used. Essentially, a mediocre, estery summer wheat beer with relatively high alcohol content. This one goes down like a false advertisement.

Oct 5, 2008 Pours a hazy gold with a small fizzy head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, spice and cherries. Unfortunately, that doesn’t carry through to the flavor. The first couple sips were lots of alcohol, and not much else. After that, it did mellow out a bit and the other flavors came through. However, it’s not a great Saison on its own, and there isn’t enough cherry character to make up for it. Just ok.

Oct 5, 2008 Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet wtih strong notes of cherries, and light notes of malt - not me. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw, hops, and quite a lot of cherries, leading to a slightly acidic, dry and woody finish. Weird - I don’t think the components fits together.

Oct 4, 2008 bottle. In a day of drain pours, this one takes the cake. Expecting a complex, full bodied Saison and I was let down. Not very good.

Oct 2, 2008 Aroma of wheat?, lemon and yeast, hazy yellow, pours a tiny white head. Godd taste odf wheat?, yeast and lemon. Light bodied, refreshing. Good, but a Saison?

Sep 29, 2008 A hazed golden yellow pour with off white head and lace. Cheeries, pepper, yeast and malt on the nose. Vanilla, large yeast and cherry flavor. Mild bitter and a slight warmth that I like. Medium/full bodied beer for the style with decent carbonation.
