| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 2, 2009 Strong and sweet cherry in the nose is quite overpowering. Lightly hazy, oily golden body is topped by a shy white, large bubbled head that recedes rapidly to a thin partial cover. Cherry is also strong in the flavour but here the bitterness and some oak character are also apparent, however I don’t find that it blends together all that well. Some sourness in the aftertaste. Medium body is a bit slick in texture but good effervescence livens it up a bit. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in Oct-09.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 2, 2010 Pours golden with a moderate white head that fell pretty quickly. Has a yeasty, spicy aroma with a bit of fruitiness. Flavor is slightly woody and fruity, with yeast still dominant, along with a bit of lemony sourness. Not terribly complex, with what complexity there is just not meshing well. I’m not terribly impressed with this, but it’s drinkable. joergen (8714), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 29, 2009 Draught at The Red House. Nice haze orange/yellow apperane. Looks pretty good to me. Didn’t have much head to speak of, but it still looked nice. Cherry aroma dominated. Was on the verge of a artificial cherry aroma. DIdn’t really have much more than the cherry in the aroma. The aroma is aromatic. There is a pungent sweet fruit aroma coming from this, but again, completely cherry. Flavor is sweet cherry and nothing else really. Not a very nuanced beer. Very much a dessert beer (for me). Nice smooth palate. I am just beginning to think this is a bit too sweet, but there are many things I enjoyed about it. SledgeJr (3005), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2009 On tap at RFD Washington. Pours hazy gold with a medium white head. Nice mild cherry aroma. Big cherry flavor. Has a nice medicinal finish, but does finish a bit chalky. Quite good. patrickfannon (384), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Bottle. 25.4 oz. Split with Griff on Christmas night. Pours wheat golen with a slight amber tint. Huge, frothy white head which clears out rather quickly. Aroma of oak, hops, cherry, wheat, malts, and slight notes of bread. Body is mild with a pleasing crisp tartness, especially in the finish. The cherry is not too evident in the flavor; much more earthy and wood taste. Overall a bit of a disappointment, as I excpect a lot from Southern Tier, but still a very enjoyable, drinkable saison.
