3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bomber purchased at Oak Tree shared with the Fight Night Drinking Crew. Pours a solid brown with a small light beige head. Aroma is fantastic sort of like a liquid tootsie roll. Flavor of chocolate, not artificial fake cheap sugary chocolate but real quality good chocolate, followed up with strong malts and hops. A few of the guys that I shared this beer were IN LOVE with it, I liked it but by no means was as blown away as they were. Oh well to each their own and I am just happy I provided a beer that some guys really enjoyed. One guy loved it so much he bought a case from the one store left in the state that still has some.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A- Pours like oily black sludge with a surprisingly thick head with an oak hue.
S- Strong chocolate, hersheyesque with a coffee undertone and alcohol notes.
T- Again very strong chocolate, toffee, more chocolate. I think this one delivers on the chocolate but can become cloying a bit of the way through which is why I dinged it a bit, still a delicious brew.
M- Thick, with an ample amount of carbonation... just enough for the style in my opinion.
D- The chocolate is a bit overwhelming but it’s definitely a treat for the first half of the glass and by the second half you dont even care at 11 percent abv.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
650 mL bottle received via trade with jah noth. Pours opaque with a small, rocky, dark brown head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, chocolate), light hops (herbs), average yeast (leather) with notes of prune, date, and toffee. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Long duration, heavy sweetness, light acidity, and moderate bitterness.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This beer was unbelievable. It tasted EXACTLY like chocolate milk. I would not be able to tell the difference. Its almost as if it is chocolate milk, but some how has 11% ABV added to it and you can’t even tell it is there!!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz. bottle. A deep, deep mahogany pour with a finger-thick creamy mocha head. A TON of cocoa and chocolate in the aroma along with vanilla beans and rich caramel. A touch of alcohol comes out in the aroma as it warms. Starts off smooth with plenty of creamy milk chocolate. Caramel and vanilla flavors follow. Roasty coffee and rich dark chocolate finish things up with a moderate bitterness. The 11% ABV is very nicely disguised. Dangerously drinkable for such a big beer.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ Chris_o.
Pours deep mahogany with a medium, creamy, beige head. Aroma is heavy cocoa and chocolate - not much else to balance it out. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is soft, lots of dry cocoa and a whole bunch of chocolate. Balance, never! Which is sad, as the idea is fine.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Courtesy of DuctTape,
It was a bottle shared 4 ways and I had to drive home at the end of the night so I didn’t have as much as I would have liked but it poured a nice toasty black/brown with an unmistakable tootsie roll nose. It was truly a thing of beauty.. There was a thin head which was a tad disappointing but I was also having a small sample in a small glass so it was not optimal pouring conditions. I will definitely be seeking this out next time I am State side!

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
When i first tasted it on draft, my initial reaction was that it smelled and tasted like a tootsie roll candy. When i have had bottles the Tootsie Roll aroma is still present, but the taste is more complex with more roast than the chocolate that i tasted in the draft version. Pours dark brown to black with a thin head.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Rating #200!!! Southern Tier isn’t subtle in their liquid homage to Godiva!!! Deep rich mahogany body with a small whipped latte head. Flavor is undeniable, unmistakeable, and uninhibited CHOCOLATE. This one isn’t extremely complex but done with such conviction that it must be applauded. A dash of vanilla, a pinch of brown sugar, and a pound of cocoa powder. Palate was thinner that Oat (but so is every other beer in the world). Loved it!!!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle. Dark brown-black with a small light brown head. Rich, chocolate malt aroma, some alcohol. Chocolate, vanilla, toasty malt flavors. Roast malt astringency, some coffee bean character. Residual chocolate sweetness and roasty bitterness in the finish, with some alcohol heat. Mouthfeel is heavy, unctuous, slightly hot.
