Mar 17, 2009 Bomber. Pours dark black brown, but not as dark as I expected. Thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Flavor is super sweet chocolate, too sweet in my opinion. Very oily mouth feel, very malty with a bit of pine/hops bitterness. This is just too sweet for me.

Mar 15, 2009 Bomber thanks to Pantanap. Pours dark and opaque with a big tan head. Nose of chocolate, and more chocolate with a bit of alcohol. Taste is overwhelmingly chocolate, bitter and a bit alcoholic. Thick and chewy, you almost eat this rather than drink it. Overall a great beer if you’re a chocolate lover-like me! Weird thing is-this is better a bit cold-as it warms it thins out and the alcohol takes over. Points deducted for that "flaw".

Mar 14, 2009 Bouteille de 600 ml. Dégusté avec french tickler et agaguk. Bière de couleur noire avec un très bon collet très collant. Odeur intense de chocolat (milkshake), café, crème, caramel, miel et épices. Gout un épicé, chocolat, très crémeux et un peu de vanille. Vraiment une excellente bière.

Mar 14, 2009 600ml Bottle shared with Pirozoid and French Tickler. Black appearance with a medium brown creamy bubblely head. Aroma: nice smell of fudge at fist nose followed with vanilla, chocolate syrup, cream and light alcohol. Flavor: chocolate syrup, alcohol, cream, vanilla. Palate: full body, soft carbonation, silky creamy with chocolate syrup alcihol finish.

Mar 14, 2009 Dégusté avec Agaguk et Pyrozoid. Apparence noir tres foncé, mousse brune collante. Aromes de chocolat INTENSE, en fait je dirais précisément un gateau foret noir, cerises, tootsie rolls... Wow! Corps incroyablement crémeux et tres bien balancé. Légere sensation d’alcool au palait egalement. Gout intense de lait au chocolat, gateau foret noir reviens encore, cerise noir, creme glacé au chocolat, chocolat noir...

Mar 14, 2009 Thanks to MrChopin for this beer. Pours a deep blackish brown with a mocha head. Nose of chocolate cake and roasted malts. Flavor is sweet chocolate with a roasty flavor...very, very chocolaty...very much a dessert beer. Loved it.

does not count  Mar 13, 2009 On tap at The Irish Pol in Philly... Incredible aroma of rich chocolate up front. Alcohol is picked up slightly after you get through the heavy chocolate syrup flavor. Great dessert beer.

Mar 12, 2009 Somewhat fluffy head, a milk froth of mocha over a deep black/brown body. Super-rich chocolate cake aroma with moderate roasted notes close behind. Sweet cocoa/syrup comes through strong in the flavor with a healthy (yet smooth) alcohol kicker. Only mild roasted bitterness in the finish, which is otherwise a lengthy & decadent chocolate indulgence. An ultimate "Dessert Beer" bar none. ~~~~~~~~ From an old notebook, unknown review date.
