4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A milk chocolate nose. Pours an opaque black with no head or lacing. Taste is is much like the nose - milk chocolate with a pleasing slightly hoppy finish and a lingering chocolate aftertaste. Medium bodied with minimal carbonation. Smooth. Overall, an excellent beer. Well done Southern Tier!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Smells like chocolate syrup. Jet black, somewhat lasting beige head. Dryer than the aroma leads to believe, though still quite chocolatey. Full bodied, pretty smooth.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from a bomber into a tulip on 08.25.14.
A: Milk chocolate, dark fruit, blackberry pie, and chocolate pudding.
A: Some fizz. Midnight black body with no red in the glass.
T: Chocolate pudding and blackberry dominate. Cherry, vanilla, and some woodiness are more subtle.
P: Creamy smooth.
O: This tastes like a Hostess chocolate pudding pie with the crust included. It has a slight, slight bitterness on the back end for balance. It also has some alcohol heat, but it’s not bad. Overall, this is the best chocolate stout yet.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It smells like chocolate and booze, which is cool, but... It’s just too sweet. As it warms, its complexity becomes higher, but it’s still just too sweet. Chocolatey, but too sweet.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thick black pour with two fingers of head from a bomber bottle. Tons of chocolate and cocoa aroma. Thick chocolate and molasses up front transitions to an overwhelmingly sweet finish. Good dessert but you can’t have too much of it.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a jet black color with next to no lacing. Although this is overlooked due to the high abv. Smells sweet and chocolatey and does not disappoint in taste. This is rich and wonderful. Like having a hersheys kiss and a beer simultaneously. Great beer!

22 oz Bottle. Tasted on 1/8/15. Bottle from Total Wine Lewisville, TX. Bottle Date 9/14. Aroma was strong with chocolate, dark malt, like dark fruits. Tasted was great with a lot of chocolate notes, very rich & creamy, with some vanilla coming through. Overall a great chocolate stout.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber pour..medium black color..small mocha head..nose is chocolate...chocolate and more chocolate..reminds me of the dark chocolate wilbur buds chocolate drops which are far superior to hersheys variant, anyway this offering is smooth, decadent, chocolate rich that would pair well with any chocolate dessert, hides the abv well, not too sweet, not that bitter, solid chocolate beer that is well crafted..

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a deep, dark brown with a thin off white head which disappears quickly.....aroma of dark chocolate milk.....taste is chocolate. Dark chocolate. Booze is well hidden, tails off into a bit of mild bitterness. Nice.
