22 oz for 9 bucks. Pours jet black with a tan-colored head. Looks great. Aroma is heavy on the chocolate as one would expect, but there is also a little vanilla and . Taste is a little alcohol burn up front fading into a heavy chocolate and a light, smooth bitter ending. I said the Southern Tier Oat tasted like biting into a chocolate bar. Well this one must be like taking a bath in chocolate. Body is thick, heavy and creamy, just the way a great Imperial Stout should be. This beer is as close to perfect as Iíve had so far. The flavors are great, itís heavy, strong and so easy to drink.

Bomber poured dark molasses brown. Finget dark tan head dissipates to a thin tan head that sticks around. Mild lacing. Nose is strong chocolate syrup, caramel and cream. Creamy mouthfeel with tastes of sweet chocolate, cocoa, coffee and cream. Slightly bitter aftertaste.

New label design. $9.00 exactly for the 650mL bottle purchased from One Stop Market in Haverhill earlier today. To snifter, it pours a deep, dark, cavernous black; sienna head up top: fingernail in length. Oh, yes. Aromas of pressed cocoa beans, roasted malts, mint, freshly-brewed coffee, tobacco, agave syrup, birch bark, and stale gingerbread. This is a heavy beer, yet itís also such a delicate, and evened brew; I give props for doing my head in. Nothing is out of odds in this one; its alcohol content didnít sneak, and its flavor stayed at the same throughout its performance. Tastes of dark and milk chocolates right away, followed by sweet potatoes, mint sprigs, brown sugar, and roast. Tobacco, vanilla extract, and hops by swallow. I wasnít in love that this beer held these uncanny flavors in my face when I swallowed, things that could be described as having a certain "shopping bag burn" to them. But it was oily and relaxing consuming this. Southern Tier: donít alter your change this recipe in any way. Itís fine the way it is. There hasnít been any previous discussions on this -- Iím just voicing my opinion if it were ever to become in question.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a tan head. Taste sweet, chocolate, roasted malt. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again.

Una goduria di cioccolato puro in bocca. Corpo denso e cremoso che ti avvolge con sentori torrefatti e di latte-cioccolato molto complessi. La birra che Willy Wonka avrebbe voluto produrre! Davvero speciale.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber poured into a snifter. Jet black, mocha head. Smell is chocolate... Like if you opened up powdered bakers chocolate and snorted it. Some roast. Taste is chocolate, artificial sweeteners, dark fruits, and roasted malts. Quite bitter finish. Overpowering unbalanced chocolate, not a fan.
