4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Discount, shared with ck1 and others. Pours a very, very dark brown with a tan head leaving nice lacing. Aroma has chocolate on top of chocolate, with hints of coffee and caramel, but followed up with chocolate. Taste is of dark chocolate, milk chocolate and chocolate liqueur. Smooth and not quite as sweet as it sounds with enough of the bittersweetness to not overwhelm with the sweetness. Finishes sweet with some bitterness, and smooooth. Terrific after-dessert brew. A sipper, certainly. A bit one-dimensional, and not so "stout"y, but very enjoyable.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours from the tap a deep reddish brownish black with a thick khaki head. Smells like a freshly unwrapped bar of artisanal dark chocolate, flavor is like a rich dark chocolate gelato. Very impressive for what could have ultimately fallen flat as a one-dimensional beer.

Cerveja muito boa, um amigo trouxe no meu aniversário e tomamos no final da festa. Excelente aroma e coloração quando colocada no copo. O gosto é delicioso, saborosa, com um toque de chocolate muito bom e que não deixa a cerveja artificial.

On tap. Served adeep brown color with a foamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and trace of malt. Taste of chocolate, bit of booze and malt. Mild bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Full body, smooth with an overly chocolate feel. On the sweet side but goes pretty well with the holidays.

On tap, December 2014. Rich dark appearance with creamy tan head. Chocolate bomb with slight hint of hazelnut and coffee. Hides the 10% alcohol well. Another winner from Southern Tier. Delicious!

22oz bottle poured into glass. Aroma is obvious...heavy malts and chocolate. Pours a dark brownish black with almost no head to it. Pretty smooth up front with a creamy mouthfeel heavy dark chocolates and malts present. Finishes a little bitter from the chocolate essence.

Pours a dark brown with a quickly-dissipating tan head. Aroma is delicious, sweet chocolate. Flavor is sweet chocolate, balanced with a bittersweet finish. I love good chocolate beers and this one is fantastic.

Bottle 2013. This is the most ridiculously chocolate stout I’ve ever tasted. After cellaring for a while, the hops are gone and your left with a brew that is literally liquid chocolate: smooth, sweet, delicious.... The mouth feel is round and smooth... chocolate truffle...yum...

BOD 9/19/14. Pours dark as a starless night. Above average head volume, average lacing and retention. Very rich nose of milk chocolate with chocolate malt notes underneath. Full bodied with a rich creamy texture. Slightly above average carbonation with a touch of effervescence in the middle and a reasonable burst for this viscosity on the finish. The very rich taste profile is intense, not very complex but well balanced. It begins with a sweet milk chocolate explosion that slowly fades into a mild bitterness in the middle. The bitterness is a blend of roast and hops. As it begins, the chocolate malt notes of the nose are evident. The finish leaves a nice moderate alcohol burn at the back of the throat. As the chocolate and bitterness fade, a light grain alcohol flavor emerges.
