3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Clear deep brown liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of vanilla, sugar, fudge, licorice, caramel, toffee and milk chocolate. Massive amount of vanilla. Taste is medium to high sweet and light bitter with notes of vanilla, caramel and fudge. Medium to full bodied with low carbonation. Waay too sweet and lots of vanilla. Just too much.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 27, 2015 Dark brown pour with a short-lived caramelized colored head. Fitting given it’s name. The aroma couldn’t be closer to a cold creme brûlée without being a cold creme brûlée. Rich, coating mouthfeel with enough carbonation to prevent it from being sickening. It’s like drinking creme brûlée. It even has an eggy quality. Aptly named.

Pours black with a thin tan head and some lacing. Aroma is very sweet with vanilla and butterscotch. Flavor is roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, coffee, plenty of vanilla, butterscotch, and sugary notes. Medium body with soft carbonation. Very flavorful dessert brew.

3.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
22oz bottle, poured into a snifter. There’s lots of lactose sugar and vanilla on the nose - very custard like - along with graham cracker pie crust and some dark berries late. It’s a dark, opaque, oily brown black with a glassy surface, and a light tan, soft, sudsy head that retains a moderate ring and moderate lace. The taste is a medium bitter and medium high sweet. The texture is thick, oily, and slick with a smooth, but fuzz,y light carbonation. The full malty body is loaded with custard and vanilla flavors upfront, along with secondary flavors of caramel and a boozy warmth. The finish is warm and creamy with a burnt character and a touch of chocolate. The aftertaste is burnt and surprisingly dry with bitter spice and pine notes, and late, abundant sugar followed by nuts and caramel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a coffee black with basically no head. Vanilla beans and coffee in the nose. This is definitely a dessert beer. The caramel malt and vanilla is definitely predominant over anything else. Solid beer, but not a stout that knocks it out of the park for me.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Beautiful dark beer with deep ruby highlight against the light, a small tan head that persists and leaves elegant lacing.
The nose is a pillow of vanilla, which also leads the way on the tongue, along with caramel, smoky wood, burnt sugar. There’s a touch of heat from the alcohol, and bitter leaves that provide a nice counterpoint but last a bit too long on the finish.
Life is too short to drink bad beer. Try this instead.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Caramel, chocolate, coffee, and especially vanilla are all flavors to enjoy. I just want keep drinking this delicious beverage. It has a strong vanilla smell and taste. The name does the beer justice. My only qualm was it has a very slight bitter finish and I think if it had a higher alcohol content that it would finish smoother. But that didn’t stop me from giving this beer one of my highest ratings.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very dark with small head. Strong sweet vanilla toffee aroma. Taste- sticky sweet caramel and vanilla flavor balanced with some bitter roasted malt and some warming alcohol. Wonderful taste but very sweet. Nice sipping dessert stout.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Caramel, nuts, toast, floral, butterscotch.
Nice head. Complex flavours of caramel with a heavy body.
Magnificent execution of creme brulee. What a wonderful stout. This might be a desert pour for most, but many should find the aromas and complexity to be top shelf.
