Oh my God this smells amazing, just like a great creme brulee. Tastes like heaven, is now one of my all time favourites.

Samples at 05-15-16 Public Day. Pours a dark brown with small foamy off-white head. Aromas of vanilla, toffee, burnt sugars, lactose, caramel. Flavor followed the nose pretty well, but it was overly sweet. Full body, thinner texture, average carbonation, very sweet finish. It’s solid for the style and what it’s meant to be, a dessert beer. If you love sweet and big flavored stouts then you’ll love it. It was just too much for me.

Pours mocha with a lingering lacing. Aroma is vanilla and Carmel. Taste is hops that's just a little too bitter for me. Was expecting a sweeter beer.

Sweet hedonistic Jesus. Thoughts in my head before having this beer: They can’t make a beer like Creme Brulee. My thoughts while having this beer: THEY TOTALLY MADE A BEER LIKE CREME BRULEE. Toasted sugar, tons of vanilla, cream, and some buttery chocolate. This is one hell of a dessert beer. You definitely get big notes of lactose and vanilla. Delicious. Be sure to bring your sweet tooth.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
A- Vanilla extract, french vanilla ice cream, creme brulee, cheesecake, heaven.
A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head.
T- Sweet, strong vanilla, subtle bitterness, caramel, burnt sugar, cream.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet bitter finish.
O- This smells like heaven. Seriously, best smelling beer ever. Dessert in a cup. I’d give it an 11 on aroma if I could. Taste is very very sweet. 6-8 oz would be perfect, more than that is tough to get through. Overall, this was amazing. Can’t wait to try more from the Blackwater series.

2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A wolf in sheep’s clothing. The aroma is sweet vanilla and suggests that this would be a dessert drink. Instead, it is a boozy drink that overpowers and overwhelms the vanilla flavors with a strong oak/whisky presence. Reminiscent of the aged oak version of Pumking. Not good. Unpleasant. Can only be sipped.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark inky brown, completely black in the glass, with a large tan head,
excellent retention. Strong sweet butterscotch, cream, and vanilla aroma. Full body, creamy, smooth, lightly dry, a little hot and boozy. Medium sweet, a little citrus, medium bitter finish. While they certainly nailed Creme Brulee, at this
point, it tastes somewhat chemically flavored. I suspect it would be better bottle aged at least 6 months to mellow.
