22 oz. bottle, sent from dfhhead25 (thanks Gib), pours a cloudy orangey red with a medium off-white head. Aroma of oak, wood, dry citrus, toffee and a little oxidation. Flavour of caramel, oxidized sherry notes, some butterscotch, and a little sugar, though perhaps less pronounced due to its age. Quite complex and not sweet, but maybe slightly past its prime as evinced by the oxidation notes. Not the "diabetes in a bottle" that Cuvée 3 was, but inferior to Cuvée 2.

Grabbed a bottle for no particular reason just cuz it looked fancy pants. Pours dirty brownish copper with thin head larger on last pour. Nose of sweet toffee. Tastes of toffee, butterscotch, fruity esters, bready, vanilla, and some rubbing alcohol for good measure. Too sweet but it is southern tier so u know prior to buying.

Bottle thanks to Kevin. Pours a cloudy orange copper with small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is dark fruits and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with a coconut flavor and light malt and nice dry finish. A good American strong ale.

0.65l bottle from my secret Santa 2012. This has been a big want for some time now, so big thanks to my secret Santa! It pours a lovely looking blurry amber copper-bronze colored body with a small and eventually sidesticking light bubbly off-white top. The nose is lovely sweet and definitely oxidized. Caramel-farmhouse with a fudge sweetness. There is fruits in here also, the ripe kind. Banana, apple and dragon fruit. It smells quite nice, and you most definitely notice that it has a few years on it’s back this puppy. Oh my, the oxidation in the aroma is nothing compared to the taste! there is tons of old ripe fruits, and it’s heavy on the sweet side. A kind of honey mixed with caramel-sweetness. It has a really comfortable small prickling carbonation level and the mouthfeel is strongly sticky. You also notice the alcohol quite clear in this. Some woody vanilla traces in the earthy - almost potato-like finish, but that’s quite subtle. I’ve tasted a few oxidized beers in my time, but this one most definitely wins both the silver and the golden medal. Warming sweet aftertaste. A bit challenging to drink the whole bottle, I have to admit, but I’m sure glad I got to try this. 27.12.2012

Bomber. This smells wonderful. Dark complex fruit with rich malts, woods, and spices. It is mid brown and opaque with no foam. The flavor follows. It meanders around in your mouth with the various flavors popping in and out. Wood notes with nuts. Brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel. Alcohol is tasted mid glass. As this beer warms it borders on barley wine territory. Hops are pretty much a "no-show." This is good stuff.
