Oaked version. Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark red-caramel color with a small beige head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was strong sweet pineapple, coconut, vanilla and apple. The flavor was very sweet pineapple, coconut, vanilla, grapefruit and pine with undertones of candied dark fruits. The finish was long and sweet with lingering pineapple, coconut and pine. Thick and full bodied. Amazing.

Tap flight at Bavarian Lodge. Toasted chestnut color with a khaki colored FILM for a head. It literally coats the glass. Pumpkin spice, jelly bean, and candy apple nose. Quite surprising aroma but very exotic and pleasing. Taste is pumpkin custard pie topped with agave nectar in a glass. I don’t like Southern Tier’s Pumking but this beer is delicious. Warning, it’s quite sweet but the battering hops do their job adequately. Definitely not a beer for after mowing your lawn, but Damn this is tasting good right now. Sweet, complex, and a pleasant surprise.

Bottle. Sweet coconut, alcohol aroma. Amber body with thin lasting head, nice carbonation and lacing. Flavor is very sweet, vanilla, caramel, coconut; well balanced with hints of hops and malts. Subtle oak and coconut finish with lingering bitter / alcohol. The vanilla helps to mask the alcohol %

Unique. Tasted much more like a lager in its expression. Light bodied, slightly red, with lots of fruity taste. Very easy to drink and slightly sweet taste and after taste. Some toffee and caramel notes but mostly fruity, and very drinkable. I highly enjoyed this beer because it was very good at having a different taste.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of frothy medium sized tan colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a typically carbonated transparent beautiful red brown colored body. The aroma was candy malty red apple and vinegar. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of mild hops wonderful candy and malt. A wonderful best in class brew.

Pours a darker amber color with a light tan head. Aroma is of oak, caramel malts, dark fruits, and some alcohol. Flavor is full of oak up front which then gives way to the dark fruits. Finish is bitter with a decent amount of alcohol warming. Probably my favorite of the series.

Had with and compliments of Pat. Pour was a clear mahogony with little head. Aroma was full of cherries and some hints of pine hops. Flavor was a complex mix like a quad. Bitter, full of cherry and some mild nuts. Mix of malts and fruits are really great in this brew.
