3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: Bready malts and doughy yeast aromas, but faint.
Appearance: Clear gold with no head.
Taste: Light bitterness throughout. Pretty one dimensional.
Palate: Light body, thin, watery texture, average carbonation, light finish.
Overall: Meh...it’s a decent enough beer, but not one that I would seek out again, especially considering the price. It works for what it is, and I could see having a few of these around the grill or while doing yard work. Still, I’m not blown away.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured crystal-clear, bright golden with a short-lived white head. The aroma picked up dank bread and wet grainy notes topped by lemon zest and grassy hops.. clean, and solid for the style. The flavor found bready malts and a touch of honey at the core.. the same grass and lemony bitterness around.. finished with lemon tartness and semi-sweet honeyed malts. Light-bodied, but a tad catchy at times on the palate.. moderate carbonation kept it moving.. overall very drinkable.

Keg at the Craft. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Smooth palate, slightly soft with mild fine carbonation. Fresh pale malts - a little cream. Mild citrus. Minerals. Semi crisp finish. There is a bare whisper of sulphur here but it’s faint enough not to distract. Decent Pils.

Going to try to rate more pilsners this summer...clean and refreshing - high cereal grainy flavor with a modest amount of hops. on par with troegs sunshine pils, but not as good as victory’s prima. a refreshing, flavorful pils. pretty good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Southern Tier Eurotrash Pilz is a super clear, pale golden lager with a white head that quickly fades to a bubbly film. There’s not much aroma. It smells a little sweet, grainy and maybe lemony. It’s very light bodied and pretty smooth with a dry finish. It tastes a little sweet up front, then a sort of chemical taste comes in with a little bitterness toward the finish. Yeah, I think this was appropriately named. There’s not much going on here. I find myself drinking it faster to wash the aftertaste out of my mouth.

Bottle at the Ragin Cagin in Alton. A clear gold pour that has a nice whitesoapy head. This was a nice surprise from a restaurant that had an unexpectedly nice beer list. The hops were fairly demure but offered some Euro notes. I tasted honey and some bread. It was so easy to drink, too.

Ahh, the Eurotrash. I love them guys. Wearing their in-style mullets and short shorts. Kind of like trailer trash here, but in a more refined European sort of way. This beer reflects that. Trashy, but Euro styled in both its malts and hops. That said, this is a beer that I’d share my trailer with. If I had a trailer.
