This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall white soapy head. Aroma of light malt, hay, unfinished sugars and very little else, perhaps some citrus. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic and hoppy flavour at first with a touch of light spices, some citrus and a lot of hay and almost biere de garde type flavours. Aftertaste shows some dry malt, a touch of metal, some light spices and a few sugars. Overall, not such a great beer, but not horrible and showing some decent flavours but not too much complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 16-February-2012 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 24-April-2012.

Bottles from Capone’s and Frank Smith’s. Pours pale golden with 1-finger white head and a fizzy body. Nose is Saaz hops, citrus, mild funk. Tastes pale malty, somewhat sweet and a tad creamy, with a crisp hoppy finish, but the malt stays out in front.

Golden pour with some white head. Smell is hops and lemon. Thick influx of hops in the taste. Has some fruit qualities to it..grapefruit, lemon and lime. Creamy finish and bitter.

Pours a bright yellow with white foamy head. Great lacing. Aroma of hay and light grain. Taste is slightly sweet up front followed by an earthy lager type taste and peppery hop spice. Not as dry as I might want but good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle; Pour is murky light golden with a modest hazy white head in this glass; average retention, very light lacing here. Grains and some florals come through on the nose. The flavor profile is a little sweet, average carbonation, some florals and there is some bitterness here. Light citrus note , lemon juice I suppose. It finishes a little weak, but this one isn’t bad at all.

Bottle. DOB: 01/18/12. A crystal clear pale yellow pour with a skim of an off-white head. A crisp & subtle aroma of wheat, cereal graininess, light corn, and touches of lemon juice and zesty rinds. Quite thin and crisp on the way down. Fairly watery. Semi-sweet cereal graininess and some wheat upfront taste-wise. Some light corniness in the middle. The crisp finish features some slightly sour lemon and zesty rinds. Clean and refreshing, but that’s about all. More like a flavored seltzer water than a beer.
