1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle @ Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Clear golden body, medium white head. Nose is pale malts, cooked veggies, hints of coconuts and wood. Odd, especially for this style of beer. Taste is sweet pale malts, grains and dusty hops. Definitely a Euro-style pilsener all right, but why bother to re-invent boring crappy lagers from Europe? Guess Souther Tier just wanted to do it for the kicks, but they should have left us innocent bystanders alone and not released this one commercially.

Kind of a disappointing beer. Very average everything. Smell, color, taste. Nothing repellent, but Iíll not buy it again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle. Bright golden pour with small white head that fades into a white rim around the glass. Aroma of bread dough, pale malts, along with bright, leafy, earthy hops. Flavor is refreshing and crisp, pretty nice for a pils. Strong, pale and pils malt, along with crackers and bread. Balanced by a solid hop note. Pretty good. Nice, medium bodied, finishes dry on the hop note. This isnít dead on for the style but itís in the team photo.

On tap. A pale gold color with a small white head and a bit of lacing. An aroma of malt and some yeast. The flavor is crisp, with a slightly sweet and yeasty flavor and fading sweet aftertaste.

Botella. Clear golden, medium white head. Aroma of hops, bit grassy fruity like. Ok mouthfeel. Flavour is rather mild, hoppish fruit and grass, mild bitterness. Bit boring.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Crystal-clear gold with an average white head. Odd aroma - like beets. Light grainy nose predominant. Taste is much better. Bready with some with some funky, slightly sour floral bitterness balancing. The taste is very solid - starts pretty normal - sunflower oil upfront with funky herbal light bitterness. The finish is very smooth and clean. Body is thick for a pilsner: feels more like an imperial. Lightly carbonated but crisp. Sessionable. I liked it a lot. Refreshing and light without being boring.
