COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

A nice example of a Pilsner Lager. Southern Tier has done it again....nice and crisp.

Bottled: unk Pours light yellow with a finger of fine, white foam and plenty of resonance. Pretty beer. Earthy hops with a slight, but subtle sweetness in the malts. Simply nose, nothing special. Flavor is bitter with a dry, crispy grain flavor. Body is thin, even for the style with reserved carb and a semi dry finish. Overall, this would be an average pilsner IMO, a little too bitter, with a shy grain character and a little hard in the mouthfeel. Serving type: bottle 03-23-2012

A high carbed noble hopped pilz. Kinda thin on the tongue. Nice light noble hop flavor. Long lasting head.

Great European style. Don’t get caught up on the lack of hops. Blows away Pilsner Urquell........

from Erzbierschof - clear pale golden beer with no foam left; fresh and herbal nose; medium-bodied, a fair bitterness, dry, clean and herbal hoppy finish - accurate and pleasant, fresh

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: Fairly clear, straw-yellow color with a soapy white head with good retention, resting as a creamy film. Aroma is slightly leafy, musty hops, Noble-like, though there’s a mild citric, nearly lemon lime-ish note in the back... Subtle, well done. Soft grains. Taste is paved with nice pilsner malt, just lightly sweet. Nice hops, some must, leaves, and a more pronounced citrus, lemon-y and lime-y finish. Only slightly bitter. Light bready finish, clean & crisp yeast aftertaste. Very nice pilsner... Very nice. Drinkable like whoa.

I had this right after the Great Divide Nomad, so here is a comparison of two American made pilseners. This is more golden than the yellow Nomad. The aroma is less fruity, and is instead drier and more grassy. It smells "cheaper," like a cheap European beer. In that sense it is more authentic. The flavor has fewer off-notes than the metallic Nomad, but it is less innately attractive. Still, it is more drinkable, after a worse aroma. Very mediocre mouthfeel--like a run of the mill American lager, fizzy. Bottle.
