This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

Great European style. Don’t get caught up on the lack of hops. Blows away Pilsner Urquell........

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: Fairly clear, straw-yellow color with a soapy white head with good retention, resting as a creamy film. Aroma is slightly leafy, musty hops, Noble-like, though there’s a mild citric, nearly lemon lime-ish note in the back... Subtle, well done. Soft grains. Taste is paved with nice pilsner malt, just lightly sweet. Nice hops, some must, leaves, and a more pronounced citrus, lemon-y and lime-y finish. Only slightly bitter. Light bready finish, clean & crisp yeast aftertaste. Very nice pilsner... Very nice. Drinkable like whoa.

I had this right after the Great Divide Nomad, so here is a comparison of two American made pilseners. This is more golden than the yellow Nomad. The aroma is less fruity, and is instead drier and more grassy. It smells "cheaper," like a cheap European beer. In that sense it is more authentic. The flavor has fewer off-notes than the metallic Nomad, but it is less innately attractive. Still, it is more drinkable, after a worse aroma. Very mediocre mouthfeel--like a run of the mill American lager, fizzy. Bottle.

Bottle, thanks sevenhokie! Very malty aroma with grassy notes and a hint of citrus. Pours pale yellow in color with a white head that is big initially, but fades quickly. Taste is all malt up front with a little bit of citrus. Finishes very smooth with the grassy flavors of the hops showing through. Good, very drinkable pils. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Erzbierschof - Clear golden color, with persistent withe head - grass, malty aroma with hints of citrus hops - crisp, sweet malt flavor, low to moderate bitterness - light body, fizzy carbonation, medium sweet malt finish - Good beer but lacks of bitterness for a pilsner. easy drinkable, refreshing.
