COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

Clear golden color with slight white head. Aroma is slightly hay like with very subtle hops. Flavor is classic European pilsner, light and crisp with very slight malt flavor. Slight touch of hops in the finish. Overall, not something to blow your palate, but it’s excellent if you’re looking for a nice pilsner.

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. poured a clear wheat color with nice cloudy white head and a small amount of lacing. Aroma is malty and with a slight soapy smell that reminds of the great Euro pilsners. Liken this brew a lot almost takes me back to my days in Eastern Europe ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 1/2/2013. Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings down the glass, with plenty of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt, hop, and yeast esters; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruits, cracker, bread, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice balance of malt, hop, and yeast ester flavors; with a good bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a nice Czech pilsner. Good balance of malt, hop, and yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: Fairly clear, straw-yellow color with a soapy white head with good retention, resting as a creamy film. Aroma is slightly leafy, musty hops, Noble-like, though there’s a mild citric, nearly lemon lime-ish note in the back... Subtle, well done. Soft grains. Taste is paved with nice pilsner malt, just lightly sweet. Nice hops, some must, leaves, and a more pronounced citrus, lemon-y and lime-y finish. Only slightly bitter. Light bready finish, clean & crisp yeast aftertaste. Very nice pilsner... Very nice. Drinkable like whoa.

Very light, crisp, and sessionable. Some grass and hay character. Golden coloration. Tried with Messa at the Old Line in 2014.
