2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Wegmans KOP. Pours pale yellow with a small white head and a ton of carbonation. Not a bad looking beer by any stretch. Not a ton of aroma on the nose but there is some hay and breadiness. Pretty mild. Taste is lightly sweet with your typical lager finish. A little bit of grassiness to the flavor. Palate is a typical lager. Pretty average but i’m clearly not a lager drinker on a regular basis. For the style, it’s fairly solid in my experience.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a very clean golden color with a very low white head. Aroma has a very pungent noble hops kick - skunk and grassy combo with a light grainy pils kick at the tail end. Flavor is pretty bland. Pils malt is very light and there isn’t very much hops in this brews flavor. Body is boarderline watery with very fine, sharp carbonation that doesn’t compliment the feeling typically found in a pils. Overall, the brew smells great but doesn’t deliver. The body and carbonation rate ruins expected crisp feeling while the flavor just isn’t there. Boring brew.

Draft at Fermentation. Clear straw pour with a small bubbly white head. Grainy, catty, grassy and slight soapy. Same generic pale malt and grainy flavor. Crisp and easy drinking.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Meh...a pretty average pilsener, not as good as our European counterparts. Aroma was heavy and lager like with hints of straw and must. Pour was a nice light clear gold with a thin white film for a head. Taste was OK. It was nice and light with sweet grains and just a hint of hop bite in the aftertaste. A little sticky on the cheeks and top of the mouth. The big problem with this beer is the lack of good carbonation. Some nice bubbles would bring this beer over the 3.0 mark for me. Decent beer, but that’s it

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. DOB: 01/18/12. A crystal clear pale yellow pour with a skim of an off-white head. A crisp & subtle aroma of wheat, cereal graininess, light corn, and touches of lemon juice and zesty rinds. Quite thin and crisp on the way down. Fairly watery. Semi-sweet cereal graininess and some wheat upfront taste-wise. Some light corniness in the middle. The crisp finish features some slightly sour lemon and zesty rinds. Clean and refreshing, but that’s about all. More like a flavored seltzer water than a beer.

Pours a two-finger white head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Crystal clear straw color - think urine. Light carbonation and light body. Nose is hay/grassy and flavor is grainy hay with a hoppy aftertaste. $2.10 for a 12oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, Ma.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Single bottle to pint glass. Not a fan of the style, but figured it was worth a couple of bucks for the name alone. Pours a clear yellow with a thin filmy head. No lacing. Really mild aroma, mostly malt and a little sweet fruit. Taste is about the same - mildly sweet and malty with a very small hint of hops bitterness. Good enough for the style, but not much here.
