COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

Bottle. Crystal-clear gold with an average white head. Odd aroma - like beets. Light grainy nose predominant. Taste is much better. Bready with some with some funky, slightly sour floral bitterness balancing. The taste is very solid - starts pretty normal - sunflower oil upfront with funky herbal light bitterness. The finish is very smooth and clean. Body is thick for a pilsner: feels more like an imperial. Lightly carbonated but crisp. Sessionable. I liked it a lot. Refreshing and light without being boring.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 2C, adapted). Bottle 35 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: sweet malty background with some very faint floral notes. clean lager profile. APPEARANCE: light gold color and hazy. thin white head with below average retention. TASTE: semi-sweet malty background, less intense than the aroma. medium-low bitterness with a somewhat semi-dry finish. PALATE: light body with low carbonation. OVERALL: a pilsner made with aromatic hops but the aromas and flavors are not there (maybe old bottle?).

Backlog rating on 8-24-2012 (Bottled on 01/18/2012) This beer’s appearance is a small smooth white head that mostly diminishes, transparent yellow body, extremely fizzy, fast rising carbonation observed, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is grainy, malt, grass and floral hops. The flavor is lightly bitter, grassy hops, grainy, and malt. The mouthfeel of this beer is moderate carbonation and this is a light bodied beer. This beer is easy to drink, but the flavor did not leave me wanting this beer again. It is not a bad flavor, it just needs more of it.

Transfer from BA review on 3-24-23- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance –Pours a deeper yellow- golden colored brew with a one half finger pure white head. The head fades rather slowly, leaving a lighter level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – A musty and grainy aroma create the base of the brew. Mixed with these smells are a lighter grassy and herbal smell as well as a little bit of a papery aroma. Taste – The taste begins with a bready and slightly grainy flavor with hints of a caramel sweetness. As the taste advances the sweetness fades more, with a slightly herbal and grassy hop flavor coming to the tongue. The hop flavors remain relatively light, but persist to the end of the taste, where the grassy flavors then grow a bit stronger, leaving a lightly bittered and malty flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel –For a 5.2% abv. pilz ,the body of the beer is on the slightly thicker and chewier side with a carbonation level that is rather average. The thickness takes away from the refreshing nature ever so slightly (very slightly), but accentuates the more herbal and grassy hop flavors of the brew. Overall it is a pretty decent feel. Overall – A decently easy drinking and refreshing brew. Nothing too flavorful or special, but good for what it is meant for; a somewhat crisper, easy drinking, and refreshing brew to drink while sitting and conversing with friends.

Bottle from 99 Bottles (Federal Way, WA). Meaty, chicken stock nose, or maybe cat food, with lots of yeastiness. Pale straw color, big creamy head. Heavy grassiness, yeast, and some assertive bittering, and more yeast. Thin-medium body. Tastes like a grassy meat stew with some candy mixed in. Overall, not really as bad as that sounds. Way too yeasty.
