COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When the sun hangs high overhead and the stars don’t glimmer until well into the evening, there’s nothing better than grabbing another beer. We specially crafted Farmer’s Tan to be the beer you enjoy on those long summer days. At 4.6% abv, it’s one of our lightest, with a smooth body and easy finish. We carefully limited the ingredients to two types of hops and two types of malts for a perfectly balanced, “sessional” India Pale Ale. We’ve got the beer covered. It’s up to you to keep the sunscreen on.

I wasn't expecting this beer to have that much of a hop kick. This wasn't for me.

Transfer from BA review on 5-5-14- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a big billowy white foam head. The head has a fantastic level of retention, very slowly fading to leave a great level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer heaviest of a grapefruit hop smell mixed with other hop aromas of a more herbal and grassy nature. Along with the hop smells are some light cracker aromas as well as a little bit of a tangerine smell. Taste – The taste begins with a very dry bready/biscuit flavor mixed with a moderate amount of a hoppy taste being almost entirely of a grassy nature initially. As the taste advances the grassy fades a bit, but is joined by some other hop flavors of a grapefruit and herbal flavor. All the while a bit of lemon and some light cracker tastes come to the tongue. At the end, the grapefruit hop dominates the weak cracker and other hop flavors, which ends up leaving a somewhat bland grapefruit flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is quite thin with a carbonation level that is on the average to slightly higher side. For the session style the thin body and high carbonation are quite appropriate, but for supporting the hop flavors of the brew, they are a little weak. Overall – Just like most session IPA’s I am a little disappointed. The flavor is too watery and the hops are really not supported, resulting in an unbalanced flavor profile. Just ah…

This beer has a really nice flavor with just a little bitter hops palate. Nice head with medium lacing. Somewhat bready and not too heavy on the C02. Very refreshing and drinkable.

draft, sort of blah IMO. lighter amber pour & medium body. bready, light citrus, caramel maltiness. drinkable but one of my least favorite of the new session IPA surge

Bottle to pint glass. Nice sweet malt aroma. Pours tan/amber. Tastes very light on the hops but has a sweet malty note. A decent session IPA.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body under a large frothy off-white head. The nose is lightly citrusy with some grainy and slightly doughy pale malt. The flavor is pretty great, lots of hop flavor, minimal bitterness, clean and well attenuated, light crackery and bready maltiness. Nice crisp and short finish. Light bodied and very drinkable with soft fizzy carbonation. I think I could down quite a few of these over a period of a day. Nice beer.

Tap. Rather plain nose, some citrus. Flavor also not so distinguished. Light crackery mlts, citrus hops, medium bitterness. Light and drinkable but not interesting.

Draft @Sunset Grill & Tap. Crystal clear piss yellow, thick retention. Aroma is later yeast and weak bread malt. Is this a left over keg from before the Brewery re-did the recipe?? The flavor is mostly mild sweet malt. Barely a hint of an herbal hop in the finish. Real thin and watery body. I was looking for some bitterness and got nothing but weak malt. Men.

Bottle. Crackery caramel malt, sweet citrusy hops aroma. Clear brassy gold with a large white head. Bready caramel malt, and herbal citrus peel hops flavor. Medium body, average carbonation. A lighter flavored, malt forward IPA.
