COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
According to Greek mythology, the twins Castor and Pollux are said to have been hatched from one egg. What a crazy story! We’re more apt to believe in alien intervention and UFOs. You have, something a little less far fetched. At Southern Tier Brewing Company, heavily hopped beer have been out calling card since Unearthly made its debut in 2006. Gemini is a super hopped ale with six varieties of hops blasting flavor and zapping bitterness in every direction.

I really really really like this one. It has a light sweet, creamy caramel for just a couple of moments and then the hops punch your tongue in it's face. It builds along with the bitterness, fighting to keep the alcohol burn under control. The palate holds the hops, and, if there's any complaint, it's that the bitterness stalls on the palate at point where it's almost a bad taste....not quite, but very close. I still really like this one. If not for that, I'd have this at a 4.2/4.3 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy light amber color, small head. Lean body; pretty good, but the malt is not very deScriptive, the hops are a bit resiny and fruity but also nothing special. Good without being excellent.

Bottle to glass. Nose is mostly malt and perfume, lacking any dank or citrus. Herbal and woody. Taste is seemingly sweet with a light citrus taste. This is everything I don’t like in DIPAs.

Bottle. Clear deep golden color, medium white head. Nice aroma of pine resin and mixed citrus. Taste is balanced and bittersweet citrus. Very tasty.

Bottle. Gold. Pine and huge bitterness. Resin but, thin. Overly hopped to the point that it kills the taste. Not good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Simple ipa hop aroma. Some leather in thar. Certainly is high hopped, no doubt. Lots of hops, wew. Hop impressions begin to kick some ass as the session continues. Big bitter finish.

Aroma floral and citrus hops. Medium body. A little carbonation. Flavor is dry but not excessively bitter. Minimal alcohol is noticeable. Pine, spice, not too much malt. Nice flavors, highly drinkable for 9%.

Bottle. The pour is on the lighter side. The aroma is big hops, piney. The taste continues the hops. A good ipa, not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong citrus aromas, rindy, zesty. Slightly hazy yellow-gold, with a fully lasting white head. Mostly dry, bitter orange peel flavor. Medium-full bodied, savory.
