COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
According to Greek mythology, the twins Castor and Pollux are said to have been hatched from one egg. What a crazy story! We’re more apt to believe in alien intervention and UFOs. You have, something a little less far fetched. At Southern Tier Brewing Company, heavily hopped beer have been out calling card since Unearthly made its debut in 2006. Gemini is a super hopped ale with six varieties of hops blasting flavor and zapping bitterness in every direction.

radio_nowhere (751) - Maryland, USA - JUL 25, 2014
Bottle from May 2014 into snifter glass, amber with slight golden hue and white soapy lacing. Aroma of tropical/dank hops (peach, pineapple, orange, lemon) with light caramel malt backing. Taste adds notes of pine bark, resin, some booze and a faint spiciness. Heavy body, low carbonation, astringent, crisp with funky hop bitterness lingering. A little harsher then expected but overall a nice rounded DIPA.

Generic stuffs. Typical ST mediocrity. More of an APA than an IIPA ceptin for the ABV. Thank you very much! Bottle from statelineliquors.

BLADT (505) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUN 16, 2014
Bottle pour. Semi-opaque orange with solid head. Lacing all the way down. Grainy, somewhat sulfuric perfume upfront. Some piney hops after on nose. Opens up on tasting. Medium+ body. Nice, sticky, resinous hops lend a consistent mild bitterness. Orange zest. Good malt backbone. Each sip starts medium sweet, then finishes dry and back to bitter. Well balanced. Aroma needs work.

Pours dark copper, oily looking, small layer of beige head that disappeared quickly. Smells of zesty orange juice, honey, some melon, an overall waxy quality. Soft carbonation, tingly thick mouthfeel, surprisingly clean finish. Hefty amount of bitter hops, resinous and slightly tropical on finish with an indistinct but strong malt presence. Good but straightforward DIPA that’s light feeling.

No aroma and weird taste in the middle. Remember the taste of feet. Wouldn't drink it again Fordanini

(trade w/Olking,) Great peach and Apricot aroma upon immediately cracking the cap. Crystal orange body with small amount of bubbles coming up in the glass. No head. Piney flavor mixed with tangerine and sour oranges. Good mouthfeel. Not too striptease yet not too watery. Hides its 9% alcohol very well. Awesome trade!

Draft at the brewery. Pours almost clear copper with a bubbly, fizzy off white head. Tastes like musky resin, orange hops, light pine, light booze. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like musky orange, hops, earthy grains.
