| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Bottle pours cloudy golden color with pillows of white head. Aroma is hop spice. Grapefruit and pine. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is mostly grapefruit and pineapple and finishes with the typical southern tier sweetness I have come to expect from this brewer. Overall another solid brew. I would have rated higher had it not had the sweetness added at the end. Thanks Brian for sharing. WinoInTraining (107), Longmont, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Not quite an IPA, even though the constituents would lead you to believe so. Piney. Gorgeous texture, creamy and expansive. Resiny, no longer sweet hops, but supremely bitter hops. Grassy and herbacious. Good food biere. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 21, 2009 Bottle. Spicy hoppy aroma, also with grapefruit. Hazy golden body, fluffy off-white head. Flavor is aggressively bitter, intensely grapefruity, some pine. Excellent bitter finish. Terrific. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours out an orange color with a chunky white head on it. Smell is nothing but hops and grapefruit paired with some orange and grass notes. Really kick ass aroma of a clearly fresh IPA. Taste is smooth and not overly bitter and not too dry either. Goes down smooth, almost refreshing in a sense. A nice beer that I would buy again if I could find it. scoobydank (6), Maple Grove, Minnesota, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 20, 2009 L:Very little head that disappears as quickly as it came. A very clear beer with a bright orange color.
S:A lot of light things going on. Light orange with a touch of grapefruit. A very mild apricot sweetness.
T:Whoa holy sweet citrus orange right up front. Bright floral grapefruit hops. A very different caramel toffee sweetness. The sweetness sticks around for a bit.
m: big thick and chewy. Almost syrupy.
D:Very good. Awesomely balanced. Great flavors that really stick with you for awhile. 00cobraR (1103), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
