3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 omhper (17436) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 29, 2008
Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Deep golden, almost no head. Rich perfumy grapefruity hop aroma. Really sweet. The well sized but sticky body is perfectly laquered with layer upon layer of massive aromatic hoppiness. A hop bomb with a beautiful surface hiding a less than perfect inside. Very bitter finish. Raw and simple perhaps, but forgiven.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - AUG 8, 2009
UPDATED: APR 25, 2011 2010-05-19, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 8-4-8-5-15=40 Cloudy golden color; small creamy head. Strong aroma, fruity hops, some milk cream too, peanut butter. Quite good body strength, candy-like sweetness, sweet toffee flavor, light butter, a bit too creamy; strong hopping, bitter oranges and resins. Strong ending bitterness. A bit chaotic, not as good as in the bottle, strangely.
2009-06-05, bottle, 8-5-9-5-18=45 Beautiful copper color; huge head; nice lace. Very nice aroma, hoppy, fruity and creamy, like fresh milk cream; notes of chamomile. Delicious caramel and toffee flavor, quite sweet; it has a good body structure and a dynamic mouthfeel; the bitterness is strong but never oppressive, the hop brings good oils, some resins and fruits (sweet oranges); the final is unusually sweet (and fruity) compared to the average Double IPA, perfectly balancing the hops. Powerful, drinkable, dangerous. Excellent.
