Blended together & placed in this vessel, the mission of our Gemini is to travel high & take passengers on a journey far into the heavens. 10.5% abv • 5.8ºL * 22° Plato

Pours hazy strawberry blonde, orangish-white head. Nose is super sweet cereal malt, honey, citrus hops: almost like a barley wine. A meaty palate with a whole lot of malt in this one, very resinous, citrus, maybe some onion-not too offensive though, but a nice hop bitterness on the finish. Solid try, but I'd stick to the 2x or unearthly... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Waxed vintage bottle. Discount shelf @ my local shitty beer store. Pours a deep gold with a nice head. Was expecting less. Aromas of some bitter pine and caramel. Taste is bitter pandora semi sweet. Flavors of paper towels, dirty wash cloths and rough pine bark. This one didn’t age well @ all. Oh well, buttfuck it. An aging experiment gone wrong, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Toasted pine with lots of baked grapefruit waft from the bottle and almost pierce my nostrils. The pale amber is clear and the light amber foam softly coats the sides of the glass, dissappating slowly as the boozy liquid disappears. The longer it’s in my glass, the heavier the sweet on my tongue. Malty and heavy, this is a brew best enjoyed ice cold if thick and creamy is not your cup of tea. Not a bad brew, but too sweet for my taste.

Bottle shared with and at wyzzywyz22’s house, sat outside all day in the sun drinking good beer and listening to good music. Life is good. Poured a murky orange with a decent but fairly quickly fading white head. Lovely sugary hop aroma. Hops and malts are very well balanced. Perfect beer for the weather. Really enjoyed it, great beer. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 2/24/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear orange amber color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity of juicy citrus hops and moderate malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pineapple, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity of juicy citrus hop and moderate malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, lightly slick, and fairly crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome DIPA. All around great complexity of juicy citrus hops and moderate malt balance; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2014 Dank dirty golden, light ringed head. Lush bitterness, greeny and piney. Almost caramel weed. Decent carbonation and exceptional for the ABV. Neat, tapered bitterness. Creamy towards the finish but dank bitterness resonates.

OK this is not the blended ale. If there is another listing for the new beer from Southern Tier called Gemini please message me.

Pours a brilliant orange amber with pristine clarity and a frothy head of foam that lasted well and left rings of lace. Nose is orange. Just orange. Maybe a touch of grass as ti warms. How did they do that? Taste is light. If you are expecting the traditional southern tier malt, a bit of brown sugar on a soft bread . . . forget it. This malt is invisible. Light , fresh squeezed orange juice, a touch of caramel sweetness that seems to light to be believed. and a bit of hop herbal that is also tremendously light. The mouthfeel reminds me of Kern River Citra, it’s that light. Divine lightness. And then it finishes without a trace of alcohol and a bit of orange sweetness at the back palate with a hint of caramel.

Holy COW! The price of this sixpack at $20 has put lots of people off. It was delicious. Darn delicious.

From notes, consumed on 4/18/13. Bottle (dated 1/27/12) poured into a Belgian snifter. Pours golden brown with a finger of off-white head. Aromas of oak, booze, nutty notes, toasty notes. Tasting notes of oak, toast, nuts, slight booze, caramel. Warm finish. Aged pretty nicely with almost 15 months on it. Medium body with a semi-dry finish.

Pours a cloudy orange golden color with a short beige-tan head. Oranges, cream, and biscuit dough on the nose. A bit of a gooey mouthfeel without being thick. A fine carbonation burn occurs mid-palate. Flavors closely approximate the nose.
