When words don’t say enough we sometimes let our fingers do the talking. Maybe it’s kid stuff, but the sign of the goat has been used by rock stars, sports fans, celebrities & unfortunate politicians to celebrate symbolically. Open this bottle for your turn to flash the eternal gesture of high voltage rock & roll. For those about to bock, we salute you!

Nutmeg and fresh cut hay aroma, a little bready, lots of sweetness at first and a slightly ashy bitter finish. Very pleasant palate, just slightly syrupy yet easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown color with a moderate off-white head on there that disappears quickly. Nose has some sweet candied sugar and caramel in there, and seems quite sweet. Taste isn’t as sweet as the nose would suggest, with a bit of toasty bitterness balancing out some caramel sweetness. OK, but not my thing.

Bomber from...Potsdam?, served cool, shared. Clear light copper with a fading light tan head. Phenolic, kinda nasty, done banana esters behind that, some rich maltiness tries to come through, a bit of clove, not great overall. Medium body (thinner than expected), moderate carbonation. A bit more malt than the nose, sickly sweet, still quite phenolic, not pleasant; lightly sweet with limited bitterness and a malty, phenolic finish. What a shame. Stupid goat.

bottle. Hazy brown with one finger head. Big sweet banana flavor. Dark fruit and light booze. Lacking the complexity of top tier weizenbocks, but decent.

Aroma: On the nose, banana and wheat are most prominent, with clove and other fruit notes
Appearance: Pours a clear brownish-orange color with a foamy beige head and mild lace
Flavor: The flavor is big and sweet, with banana and wheat, balanced by a little spice hop
Palate: The body is medium, it has a lively carbonation, and long, sticky (slightly cloying) finish
Overall Impression: The nose really bellows out of this one as soon as you pour. I could smell the sweet banana and wheat aroma well before I put my nose into the glass to take a real whiff. Beyond the aroma this beer just it’s thing nicely. By that I mean, this knows exactly what it is trying to be, and that is what it is. It is clear and well defined. It isn’t at all muddled. Sure, it’s probably a bit too sweet for my personal preferences, but that is no knock on the beer. This one is right on.

Transfer from BA review on 4-21-14- Poured from bottle into a weizen glass Appearance – The beer pours a very hazy deep ruby brown color with a huge thick and billowy cream head floating atop the brew. The head has an amazing level of retention, very slowly fading to leave a wonderful level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is massive of a yeasty smell which brings with it tons of banana sweetness. Along with the yeast and banana, are big aromas of a dark fruit nature of raisin and plum as well as lots of caramel sweetness. While the yeast bring with them tons of banana, they also bring aromas of a clove spice as well as a very light level of a black pepper smell. With a little bit of a wheaty and roasted malt smell there as well, the aroma is one that is rather fruity and quite robust. Very delicious. Taste – The taste begins with a very sweet brown sugar and caramel flavor with a moderatly strong wheat bread taste. As would have been anticipated from the nose, there is also a big yeasty and banana flavor right from the start, with these and the sweeter flavors of the brew creating a nice base flavor for the brew. Quickly some darker fruit flavors of cherry and plum come to the tongue. Spice flavors, while light upfront, gain strength as the taste moves on to the end, with a good deal of clove and a little bit of white pepper joining in. A bit of a hop flavor of an earthy and grassy nature come to the tongue more toward the end, with these remaining very light overall. An apple cider flavor as well as more sweet banana and candied sugar tastes come at the very end, leaving a nice chewy and sweet, yeasty bready flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and chewy side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. The thick and chewy body really do a fantastic job of accentuating the yeasty and bready flavors of the brew all while the higher carbonation nicely complements the crisp and fruity flavors as well as the spice. Overall the feel was well done. Overall – This was a rather tasty and big sweet weizen. I very much enjoyed this one and would certainly recommend it to others. Very tasty and easy drinking.
