When words don’t say enough we sometimes let our fingers do the talking. Maybe it’s kid stuff, but the sign of the goat has been used by rock stars, sports fans, celebrities & unfortunate politicians to celebrate symbolically. Open this bottle for your turn to flash the eternal gesture of high voltage rock & roll. For those about to bock, we salute you!

Bomber from TheEpeeist after two years of waiting for them to produce their Matador (still listed with no ratings). Nose is banana, wheat bread yeast, with a hint of vanilla toffee and cloves. Murky amber with a medium, lightly lacing, beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter, sweet bananas, and very spicy and peppery. Nice weizenbock!

22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with no head. Aroma is heavily malty and alcohol. Very smooth over the tongue and easy to drink. Sweet but finishes clean. Good stuff.

weihenweizen (1737) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - SEP 9, 2014
Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a weizen glass. Pours dark amber with one finger beige head. Aroma is nice banana, medium/light body, medium carbonation, and thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is dark malt, herbal hops, some banana, and some alcohol in the finish. More bock in flavor than weizen.

Bomber. Pours hazy brown with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is banana and cloves, caramel malt and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet, lightly bitter with a dry slightly astringent finish. Slightly oxidized! Medium to full body and moderate carbonation.

22 ounce bottle. Cloudy amber color. Small creamy beige head. Rich toasted wheat malt aroma has notes of bananas and caramel. Sweet wheat malt flavor. Bananas, brown sugar, cloves and vanilla bean emerge. Reminds me of Bananas Foster? Finishes with a dose of citrus hops. A bit too sweet for my liking.

Pours a brown color with a small creamy canvas head. Notes of brown sugar, nuts, tootsie roll, and banana chips. Well balanced.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle. Clear, chestnut color with a small khaki head and good lacing. Aroma of banana bread, cloves, caramel, dried apricots, cinnamon and allspice. Taste of cloves, rye bread (!?), toffee, spices, banana, brown sugar and dried fruit. I know it's a wheat beer, but the flavor is more of a bready malt with a rye-like spiciness. Medium/light body and high/medium carbonization. A rather spicy weizenbock, but pretty tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Southern Tier Goat Boy is a unique and interesting brew. Ruby red color with a pinkish head. Aroma is that of ripe bananas and caramel. Taste is similar to a Hefeweizen but with a strong caramelized ripe bananas character. You definitely feel the alcohol. Fortunately, Goat Boy doesn’t live up to its name.

(Trade w/Olking) - Frothy head and brown body with large carbonation makes it look a lot like root beer. Nice aroma of banana. Smooth tasting flavors of cinnamon and banana. Not overly cloying. Decent mouth feel. I could definitely drink this again (if it were readily available in the SF Bay Area!)
