When words don’t say enough we sometimes let our fingers do the talking. Maybe it’s kid stuff, but the sign of the goat has been used by rock stars, sports fans, celebrities & unfortunate politicians to celebrate symbolically. Open this bottle for your turn to flash the eternal gesture of high voltage rock & roll. For those about to bock, we salute you!

Bomber from TheEpeeist after two years of waiting for them to produce their Matador (still listed with no ratings). Nose is banana, wheat bread yeast, with a hint of vanilla toffee and cloves. Murky amber with a medium, lightly lacing, beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter, sweet bananas, and very spicy and peppery. Nice weizenbock!

Pours a good size frothy beige cap and has a fairly dark amber/coppery appearance. Good lacing. Aromas are wheaty and malty with notes of yeast. Flavours are mostly malty, some toffee, earthy hops, spices. Full bodied mouthfeel.

On tap at The Mansion (FL). Good looking. Sweet aroma and overly sweet flavor despite some obvious hop bitterness. Lots of toffee and brown sugar with some banana and too much clove.

Bottle shared with my wife. Pours a clear browned amber with a large white head. Yeast on the nose, toast, malt. On the thicker side of medium bodied, sweet with a bit of toast and malt. Picks up some dried fruit notes. Warming alcohol makes a brief appearance, but nothing distracting in any way. Long toast on the finish, soft bitterness.

650ml bottle from LCBO, Parkway Mall, Scarborough, ON. 7.5% alc. / vol. Pours a hazy ruby brown colour with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts and a whiff of plum. Taste matches the aroma with notes of banana. Well balanced taste with a light body finishes dry. Low carbonation.

Bottle – poured a honey-amber color with a substantial puffy white cap. Aroma was pungent – smoky banana, biscuity, grassy and succulent fruit (Lots of esters in this) . Flavour is rather dense for a wheat ale – big chew of caramel malts balanced with dark fruit esters and some herbal hopping, goes a bit drier in the finish where the dusty wheat malt shows up balanced with the hops. Not a bad weizen heller bock but a bit heavy and sweet for my tastes in this style.

A nice dark brown coppery colour, albeit filtered, with an off-white head that dissipates pretty quickly. The nose is treated to brown sugar, bananas, and sweet malts. Palate is medium bodied and more crisp than creamy. The tastes range from caramel malts, to nuttiness, to light banana esters, with hints of wheat as expected in a Dunkel. It all drinks quite nicely, and I’d definitely grab some more bottles of these. Yet another Southern Tier beer that I am really enjoying.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber brown with an off-white ring. Sweet aroma, of caramel, malt, brown sugar, hops, dark fruits. Taste starts sweet, with dark fruits and caramel malt, then picks up quite a bit of hoppy bitterness. Lingering sweet bitterness. Decent.

smell’s malty, bready, wheaty, yeasty, a little sweet with hints of caramel and banana. Top is amber read bottom is kinda light syrup caramel color. Bubbly head leavs fast. small carbination alot long time. Malty body with some sweetness, a little carame, hints of cherry and a little banana. The hops in it are citrus grassy and leave a bitterness that shows more as it drys out. some sips have a little warmth in belly. Would like bitterness tamed down, more moister then dryness and a bit less malty/sweet but not a bad beer. Cheer’s. Just not the best in the style and a style I do like.
