COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Harvest Ale is our celebration of the changing weather and the sowing of hops and barley that will be used in our upcoming brews. We usher in the fall with a classic English style Extra Special Bitter of the highest order. Deep ruby in color with an even deeper hop flavor… in fact, we throw fresh English hops into every brewing vessel, then dry hop after fermentation to impart a zesty kick. This beer has real hop character that mingles with fresh malted barley for an experience that will make you wish it were fall year ‘round.

undated 12 oz bottle served in a pint glass in 2011 (from notes). No style indicated on the label other than Fall "seasonal", so I was surprised to find the beer is like a strong pale ale or ESB rather than a marzen. Not surprised by the flavor, however, since there is plenty of earthy and spicy hop aroma. There also some citrus in the nose, but the flavor veers more towards the citrus side, and leaves a moderately bitter grapefruit aftertaste. A nice orange-amber with a lasting off-white head. O: a bold and flavorful Fall seasonal.

Orange colored beer with a small white head. A bit of oxydation in the nose and taste. Dry fruity beer and some notes of hoppy bitterness. Would like to try a fresher version.

The Harvest Ale from Southern Tier pours a lovely, mostly clear deep orange with an eggshell white head that leaves thick rings of lacing. The aroma is orange citrus and floral hops. The flavor is citrus with some butterscotch. Quite an enjoyable brew. I enjoy the amount of hops
