Okey and fruity. Smooth, but very light finish. Typical wheat beer flavor. Very pleasant aroma though

On tap at Cole’s. Almost light mouthfeel for the style. Passable, drinkable. Almost sour. Light colour, not much lace. The style, but not the best representative of the style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Pony Bar with Brendan, Andrew, Streets and Baron. Pours a slightly hazy golden body with some nice thin, white lacing. Aroma is fruit - banana and clove, wheat, yeasty and a bit spicy. The mouthfeel is medium and creamy with notes of wheat, banana, honey, and clove. Excellent Hefeweizen.

On tap at pony bar. Very happy to see a new beer from southern tier. Medium bodied, pour is orange/tan haze. Crisp doughy hefe... Banana and wheaty moss flavor. Some ginger and floral notes in the finish. A fine hefe

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Pony with Andy Streets and Baron. Pour is a mirky, butterscotchy color that lightens at the top and bottom. Frothy head with minimal bubbles. Wheaty, fruity aroma and banana-butterscotch palate. Crisp and pretty highly carbonated for a refreshing mouthfeel. Definitely benefits from the CO2. Delicious for a style I don’t love.

Many thanks for my lovely wife to noticing ’Total Tap Takeover’ at Tap and Mallet tonight. Mmm this was a most excellent hefe and the crown jewel of my night. Glowing orange color, big nose of my favorite bananas and cloves. Sour mouth, full of sour bananas. Awesome.

Draft at Southern Tier’s Brewpub. Pours with an orange tint and an inch of white foam. Lovely estery notes on the nose. Nice banana and clove on the tongue. Clean finisher. I could put this stuff away all day.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught pint at Cole’s, Buffalo NY. (Hershey Highway!!! - don’t ask). Cloudy gold pour with a minimal off-white creamy head. Smells lightly of banana, more of lemon, yeast and light cereal grain (no alcohol). Taste is pretty dull, really - but hey, at least ST didn’t hop the crap out of it- mild grassy bitterness in the background, lemon and banana mostly and it tastes around 6%+ alcohol; the lemon tartness and the alcohol prevent this from being overly sweet, but it has ambitions of syrupyness. Fairly thick-bodied, sticky, lively mouthfeel, quick-finishing, leaving a dry lemony aftertaste: somewhat dull, but okay.
