COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and you’ll realize that this isn’t your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sun’s bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. Summer never tasted so good.

Bottle brought back by my wife from Rome. Slightly orange hint to this golden colour beer, topped with an off white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, wheat, malt and yeast. Some sweetness to finish. Rather thin body, with average carbonation. It’s ok.

Erzengel (1901) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAR 5, 2014
dark amber and clear in the glass, the nose is hoppy-floral. The beer starts smooth, easy to drink and slightly sweet. In the mainpart there are some nice floral hints, smooth slightly sweet malty body, nothing special. The aftertaste is smooth, nicely floral hopped, smooth sweetish-malty body.
Interesting brew, but beside the nice floral hints nothing special! --> 8/12/7/8

Smell is hoppy. Pours golden clear with carbonation rising. Taste is watered down and mildly bitter. Wet on the palate.

Another old summer beer rate. This one is like all the others, light on all fronts, dirnkable, but ultimately uninteresting.

Southern Tier Hop Sun is quite different for a wheat beer. Fresh hop aroma coming from a light amber pour with a decent head. Initial taste is citrus and pine hop character - - not what you’d expect from a wheat beer. I guess the yeast notes are in there but Hop Sun is very much like an IPA and wheat beer mixed.

Nice hoppy aroma and light thin amber body with a thinnish palate. Taste is semi-bitter, minimal really, but some resin and malts. Not bad for the wheat ale style which is often quite bad. Decent.

Draft at Moriartys. Hazy golden pour with light white foam. Body feels a slight fuller than the average wheat bear. Taste a bit more golden. Gently toasted Challah bread. Notable citrus notes. Clementines. Golden raisins. Pineapples. Lemon pie. Smooth front. Bitter finish. Not a great beer but very noble for the style. The hops add a nice shiny body to an otherwise standard wheat/ESB.

A: Second consecutive piss ale here. Brilliant clarity. Shredded sheet like a used ghost costume, broken with a central cap and super thin collar. Yellow, straw color. (3) S: Difficult for me to smell this - not because it’s horrid, but because it’s just not putting out (see: disappointing junior prom). Some hints of corn and lemon. Not much else for me. (2) T: Whew, the faint hints of corn and lemon - those are here. Those are winning....No, bi-winning! This is quite violent on the palate for me. Like someone squeezed a lemon into my mouth and gave me a backer of watered-down corn juice. I’m not privy to this. Some bitterness. (1.5) M: Thin and highly carbonated. Fairly dry finish. (2) O: Nope. Not on board with this one. (1) Serving type: bottle 05-29-2011

Pours a yellow color with a hazy body. Floral notes with some wheat and lemon citrus.
