Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and youíll realize that this isnít your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sunís bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. Summer never tasted so good.

Southern Tier Hop Sun has a medium-to-thick, off-white head, and a clear, old-gold appearance with lots of streaming bubbles and a small amount of lacing. The aroma is very lemony, with a background of white bread and sugar. Taste is of sweetness, some lemon (Which I didnít detect until halfway through the 12-oz. bottle, for some reason), white bread, and a pleasant and mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Southern Tier Hop Sun finishes pretty crisp, clean, refreshing, and somewhat lager like. Overall, this is excellent. RJT

Simply a mildly hoppy wheat beer. Tad bit over carbonated. Aroma is nice initially but gets weaker.

Poured from a bottle. Clear pale yellow with foamy white head. The aroma is wheat, citrus (lemon), and floral hops. The taste starts slightly sweet and transitions to a touch of bitterness. Given the name, I was expecting more hoppy bitterness; the hops are all in the aroma. The flavors are lemony, wheat and grassy. The carbonation is quite foamy throughout the experience. A decent beer for a summer afternoon, but not quite the hops I was hoping for.

Nice floral hoppy aroma. Tastes light but full bodied. Doesn't taste all that hoppy (more hops in the aroma). Almost a banana taste?? Slight bitter finish. Pleasant and well rounded easy drinking beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Okay, this is either the lightest IPA I have ever had, or a pretty hoppy wheat. I LOVE that I have to think about this! Hop Sun is true to its name, with the sunny character of a wheat beer and the citrusy goodness that only the right blend of hops can add. Amber color, light head on the pour that stands up just enough to wink at you before it saunters away, just leaving a very light perfume of . . . is that lemongrass? This beer is dangerous in that it is VERY easy to drink and leaves you wanting more. Two thumbs up!

Mostly clear straw color with 2 finger white head. Bit of mustiness in an overall subdued aroma. Light body with lively mouthfeel. Nice fruity finish with some soapy sensation mixed in.
