COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and you’ll realize that this isn’t your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sun’s bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. Summer never tasted so good.

355 mL bottle from Beers of Europe into a Karmeliet glass. Golden, cleady and a touch gassy with a nice but short lived head. Very nice hopped aroma, a touch of citrus. Sweet, bit of lemon, smooth. Light on the wheat. Its nice, certainly drinkable. Dry aftertaste.

A good summer beer to go with grilled food...has some interesting pilsner qualities...fruity aromas and flavours...nice smooth palate. A pleasant hoppy finish that isn’t overpowering, but balances the beer nicely.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a very slight head. Very slightly hoppy in the nose with just hints of a floral smell. Taste has a little bit of hops and a much stronger bit of what. Quite a nice brew...

Mild citrusy lemon aroma, some earth, and nice fresh wheat whiff. Average head and lacing for the style. Yellow-gold appearance. Taste - nice citrusy lemon kick with clean finish. Respectable hops that don’t dominate too much for the style. Good bready malt backbone that lingers well after the conclusion; some of the lemon carries on as well. Neither overbodied nor underbodied. Hot darn, a wheat ale I finally like! This style tends to underwhelm me - most are just okay with a few bad lemons in there - but this is actually quite good. Thank you, Southern Tier.

12oz bottle. Pours a light amber color with a small white head that lasts throughout. Aroma is sweet and strong with a heavy fruit presence and mild hop background. Strong hop taste is perfectly balanced with hints of grapefruit and citrus. Mouthfeel is incredibly smooth with medium carbonation.

Bottled at home. Clear golden colour. Flat white head having no persistence, with a medium carbonation. Refreshing and easy to drink. Bitter and hoppy, even if not so much, but well balanced. Dry final. Great job.

Bottle at home (BOE) - 29/09/12. Clear light golden with a very thin white head that soon dissipates to the edge of the glass. Floral hops and a perfumed aroma with a little wheat and a touch of spice in the background. Taste wise a little on the bland side, not unpleasant, just not a lot going! Wheat, a little citrus, light hop tones, hints of summer fruit. Medium bodied with the carbonation level pitched well. A refreshing wheat beer if a little on the boring side.

On tap at the beer temple. Dark golden pour. Quickly collapsing head. Aroma of grass. Thin and not very hoppy flavor. Metallic bitter aftertaste.

I got this as part of a mix & match 6pk at Madison East. Pours a clear, pale yellow color with a bubbly white head. Scent is very sweet with wheat and citrus tones with some hints of hops. Has a smooth mellow taste with a hint of bitterness that turns into a dry, organic wheat after taste. Starts off refreshing, but then goes into this bad pale ale type taste. Interesting, but not something I look for in a wheat beer personally.

33cl bottle from Bottle Shop Canterbury. Clear gold colour with thick white head. Soapy wheaty aroma with some hop. Ok in mouth, I mean very light as you would expect. This is a thirst quencher rather than a sit down open fire sipper. As such it’s absolutely fine. Not too soapy and as a golden ale it’s fine. Rather good finish to be honest. Better than average.
