Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and youíll realize that this isnít your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Nice summer wheat beer. It is as the label would make you think it would be: light on the tongue with some wheat texture (maybe a smidge of rye? Could just be some hop spicy), clean with more aroma of hop than actual hop bitter/taste punch. Could probably polish off quite a few of these on a hot day.

Looks like a macro. Average looking pour with head that dies quickly. Odd lemon grass flavor with light hops. Rather dryfinish. Iím not real big on wheat beers so that may explain my lower rating than others. This isnít horrible it just isnít great either. Tap at Cafe Lulu, Milwaukee.

12 fl oz bottle from Potsdam, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear golden with a fair, bright white head. Aroma: Bright, zingy citrus, pine, tropical fruits, a touch of cat pee, light biscuit and bready malts, a little peppery, quite refreshing. Palate: Medium body with fairly full, velvety effervescence. Flav.: Much the same as the nose with possibly a bit more tropical fruit, lots of citrus zest, somewhat peppery, minimal malt presence; dry with decent bitterness and a zippy citrus/resin finish.

Nice job.

Draft. Golden yellow color with white head. Aroma is wheat and light malts along with some bright hops, a tad bit of citrus, and a little floral/grass. Taste follows the nose. Not a lot going on, but itís pretty refreshing.

Draft. Golden pour with white head. Light citrus, grassy aromas. Very light citrus and other light hop flavors that come out a little more on the finish.

Bottle brought back by my wife from Rome. Slightly orange hint to this golden colour beer, topped with an off white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, wheat, malt and yeast. Some sweetness to finish. Rather thin body, with average carbonation. Itís ok.

dark amber and clear in the glass, the nose is hoppy-floral. The beer starts smooth, easy to drink and slightly sweet. In the mainpart there are some nice floral hints, smooth slightly sweet malty body, nothing special. The aftertaste is smooth, nicely floral hopped, smooth sweetish-malty body.
Interesting brew, but beside the nice floral hints nothing special! --> 8/12/7/8
