Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and you’ll realize that this isn’t your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sun’s bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. Summer never tasted so good.

Pours a clear pale yellow color with white head. Raw wheat, light citrus on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes pretty clean.

Ok wheat beer with some crisp malt and a generally lagery feel to it. Not a huge amount going on here, though. Light citrus hops aroma as well. Tap at Glen’s Market.

I am having this in a pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking somewhat hazy golden yellow to orange color with one finger white foamy head that quickly dies and leaves a bubbly lacing. The smell had a super nice long inviting refreshing citrus aroma. Sweet fresh cut grass and a nice light bitter pine help to accentuate the "Summer"-Ness of this beer. The taste took all of the previously mentioned flavors and wrapped them up to let a super nice sweet sticky malty lemon flavoring come out. The aftertaste is refreshingly lemon sweet. On the palate, this one sits about a light altogether. I’m pretty sure I could pound this all day on the beach or on the boat. Overall, where the heck did this one come from, ST. Way to freaking go! This could quite possibly be one of my all-time favorites by ST and definitely ranks up there to one of the best Summer selections on the market.

Pours a clear, light golden. Lagerish nose with its corn sweetness. Corny, wheaty, fruity flavors. Easy drinking.

12oz bottle from The Beer Store Wilson. Golden hue, murky clarity with mostly diminishing fizzy white head. No lacing. Water, lemon, skunk, light malt & light citrus aromas. Light bitter lemon hop up front with a malt and watery finish. Lively carbonation, dry on the palate.

Bottled March 10, 2014.
Appearance: Perfectly clear amber hued golden body with a dense and creamy white head on top.
Aroma: Earthy and slightly skunky, straw comes to mind. The aroma is clean, but not too appealing.
Taste: Mildly hoppy with a slight lemon wedge flavor through it. The body is crisp with a slight straw flavor. Overall very mild with a slight lemon hint to it.
Palate: Light medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is a decent hoppy wheat ale, though I would have preferred a different hop profile. This is solid, nothing to write home about, but worth a shot.

Nice yellow/amber color with a good head. Lemon, citrus aromas; not very strong. Very crisp, refreshing taste with floral, citrus accents and a dry, slightly bitter finish. Very nice beer for a summer day.

12oz bottle from Wegman’s, Buffalo, NY. Clear amber with a thin white head; grainy aroma; grainy body with a sharp citrus taste; and a dry, sour, floury finish.

Pours light yellow with a thick white head. Aroma is an interestingly dank hoppy wheat aroma. Taste is similar to aroma with biscuity hops up front (if that makes any sense), more biscuit in the mid palate, but then the hoppy bitter finish kicks in for a pleasant finish. No banana or clove in this wheat ale. Just refreshing and lightly bitter.

Draught @ Flying Saucer, Addison. Pours clear gold, with - quickly fading - bright white head. Crisp nose, some hops, citrus, little wheat. Fresh flavour, quite malty, lemon, some grass and hops. Original take.
