Dec 12, 2008 Bottle thanks to ilovedarkbeer. Pours with a large white head and a clear golden body with good lacing. Aroma of margarine, citrus, yeast and pepper. Taste is sweet hops, fruit, melon, and citrus. Light bubbles and slightly creamy mouthfeel.

Dec 12, 2008 22. Pours a slightly hazy bright medium amber, really a lovely, attention-grabbing presence in the glass. Thick white head falls quickly to the lightest of thin foam and bitsy suds. Moderate woody nose with some gentle tangerine and mandarin orange notes sweetening it up a bit. Creamy medium body. Woody, resiny hop presence with biscuit and just the faintest touches of citric hops on the mid-palate. Longish woody finish.

Dec 11, 2008 Big thanks to sebletitje for bringing this along. Pours deep gold with thin off white head. The aroma is moderate with some grapefruit, malts, grains and a touch of hay. The taste starts with a nice full mouth feel ushering in solid malty sweetness and tart grapefruit hops. These fresh tasty notes carry through to the finish where grainy malts show up to go along with persistent grapefruit hop bitterness. Very nice.

Pours golden with white head.
Aroma hoppy and a very sweet sugary nose.
Taste, hoppy but with a nice sweetness. Caramel malts, yeasty -dough- with a thick grainy palate. Reminded me a lot of a good Belgian strong ale.
Well balanced, did not get too much of the bitterness of the hops.
A really fine and enjoyable beer.

Dec 9, 2008 10%. nose is the first impression, and despite the name i am presented with sticky malt. chewy mouthfeel, this is a big beer. very well balanced, hops become evident as the beer wears on. suprising light color considering the potent contents. even though its huge in every way, it comes across with a light and citric finish. i am a fan of this style, but that finish really puts it in a league of its own. not bad at all.

Dec 7, 2008 Bomber. Hazy light amber supporting a tall rocky white head. Spicy aroma with hints of citrus and cut grass. More citrus in the flavor along with tart apple and a touch of caramel. Nice balance of malt and hops. Silky texture and a dry snappy finish.
